That parents were found dead, just wondering what is really going on, i hope she is safe,and had nothing to do with her parents deaths.

I hope so too. When it first happened, I kept getting all of these Amber Alerts on my phone and all over our television all evening long...... We live about 2 hours South of where she dissappeared from....

I truly hope she is still alive, and hasn't been harmed and isn't at all involved in this......I know the F.B.I has been very involved......

Unfortunately this reminds me of a case in 1950s where a younger teen girl disappeared with her somewhat older boyfriend after they murdered her oarents. Think maybe there were other murders as well.

Agree with poster who mentioned a prior case where a boyfriend was involved. That's my feeling too -

Recent case of farm country - gal vanished while out on her usual run - I kept saying - check the cornfield. That's where they found her body.

I got the Amber Alert also. They aren't releasing much information at this point.

They have said the girl is not a suspect. This happened about 1 AM I believe and there was a 911 call evidently from the residence, but they were not able to make anything out. They do know the phone it came from, but are not releasing that information.

This is so weird. I hope they find her. Sounds like they are doing everything they can.

All that matters is that a 13 yr old child is missing.

Whether by choice or not, she is still a victim-either because she is a witness and was taken or she left willingly,

Jayme Closs is not old enough to make a mature, consenual choice either way; her safety is the issue no matter the circumstances.

Sadly, I predict that this will not have a good outcome. I do hope we get some answers soon as people in her community must be nervous.

At this point, no one cares about people in the community. The only concern is that little girl who is missing. Thinking about happened to that child is terrifying.

It could be that the parents were killed because the killer wanted the daughter.

Sorry Miss Know It All, but the people in the community are worried because so little information is being shared.

The maturity of today's 13-YO and that of one in the 50's are very different.

I don't know if the girl was involved; it did cross my mind because of other cases of kids involved in the murder of their parents, often with the help of friends.

I don't agree that, if she went willingly and if she is involved, she is a victim just because of her age. A quick search showed someone as young as 7 was charged with murder. A normal 13-YO knows the difference between right and wrong.

I hope she is found quickly, safe and sound, and no evidence of involvement in the deaths of her parents.

Every one wants this to be solved, pray she is found alive ,but these things have happened before,that your child was involved, i pray this also is not true.

I understand that but I think there's a time for that but that time is not now. It's not like there were multiple cases like this, so far it's just this one case. So there's no immediate public risk.

They'll be looking at her email and find out if she was involved with someone online. If she was, they'll find him with or without her. So far it seems not or there would be a bolo for him.

It's all speculation until we find out more facts. They have called for 100 more searchers for the area. They know more than we do and can't give out some of the information they have for obvious reasons.

It does affect the whole community, 2 people were killed and one child missing and of course their first priotiy is finding that child.

Not all children develop a conscience along a standard timetable. One cannot determine that just because this child, and she is a child, is 13 that her moral compasss is arrow straight.

People can speculate all they want; as far as I am concerned this child is a victim whether involved in the murders or not. Somebody has taken advantage of her; and that is the starting point in this case.

There have plenty of similar cases since the 1950's. I think the police are not giving out much. Don't know the reasons, but obviously, the longer it goes.....it won't end well. 13 year olds and older boyfriends....not good. But it could be something very different. We don't know yet.
