IF anyone has been happy with Famer Jon's popcorn please rate it. The variety that was presented on the air this A.M. has very bad ratings.

i have purchased farmer jon popcorn, but the loose unpopped version, not the microwave bag version. it is some of the best popcorn i have ever popped.......very little hulls and tender.

not sure why they are not carrying that anymore.

I love popcorn ...and I can say this was the worst popcorn,I have ever purchased.I bought it about ,maybe a year ago.I threw it away,it was that bad !

@I am appleblossom I buy Trader Joe's organic popcorn, so inexpensive, yummy, and very few hulls. I bought an air popper at Target, so no oil involved (I add some nutritional yeast and Table Tasty). This is my husband's after dinner/TV treat and replaces the sweets he used to crave.

Unfortunately I ordered it.....a while back (in July). It is supposed to be "virtually" hulless.....but it isn't. Has more hulls than any brand I have purchased at the grocery store. Got the buttered.....3 different levels of butter. And my gosh butter all over my microwave when finished popping. Am sorry I ordered it.

Thanks @ShowMe for your honest review....I wanted to purchase and try when it aired the last time. I love Orville Redenbacher's and the "virtually hulless" was the reason I wanted to try the Farmer Jon's.

Thanks @ShowMe for your honest review....I wanted to purchase and try when it aired the last time. I love Orville Redenbacher's and the "virtually hulless" was the reason I wanted to try the Farmer Jon's.

@GAQShopr53.......stick with the Orville. I too like that brand.

We've been purchasing Farmer Jon's for about 2 years now from QVC. We've tried all the varities and have been very happy with them. Ours almost always have very few hulls or none at all.

I appreciate the reviews here, as I was tempted to order. What stopped me was the ridiculously hot and humid weather here.

I was afraid that it would all pop if left out in the hot sun on my porch with no one here to receive the package when delivered.

After reading here, I'll not bother to order when cooler weather arrives.

I bought it last year because they said hulless. Well, it wasn't. I too like Orville much better. I would not recomment Farmer Jon's at all.

Agree! I’ve tried many brands that claim they are “hullless” but aren’t. It worth the mark-up.

I ordered it back in January when it was the TSV - I got the Movie Theater flavor.

The taste was perfectly fine, BUT it was absolutely NOT virtually hullless as they claim. I microwaved it according to directions and had to go an extra 2 minutes because it wasn't popping. When it was done popping and I removed it from the microwave, there was a puddle of butter on the glass plate. Nice! As I got to the bottom of the bag I would say that about 20% of the kernels didn't pop.

I'll stick to my usual Orville Redenbacher!!

I ordered his popcorn sometimes last year. The microwave timing on the bag was way off. And when I finally got to eat some, it was so salty! I had others try and they thought the same...too salty to eat. I got a refund and never bought it again.

I ordered the microwave version last winter and thought it was quite good. It was virtually, but not literally, hulless. It had big, white fluffy kernals. Much better than Orville Reddenbacher. I wouldnt buy again simply because I think it's too expensive for what you get.

I had it on auto-delivery and started with extreme butter, the most buttery you can get. Well I thought it was really good but it was not hulless. In fact it had a lot of hulls. So when my next shipment came I changed it to movie theatre popcorn. It wasn't as buttery and it still had a lot of hulls. Then one day I found a bag of the extreme butter. The butter had leaked out of the bag and as it popped in the microwave it leaked butter all over the microwave making a mess.

I haven't cancelled my order yet. I bought a box of pop-secret to see about the hulls in their brand and the were virtually hull free. IMO Farmer Johns was bigger and tastier but it was messy full of hulls and cooking times were inconsistent.

Most likely I will cancel, I just wish they were honest about their product.
