We saw him in concert tonight. What a performer.

His band is also fabulous.

Years ago I saw Paul walking in the Oaks Mall, Thousand Oaks, CA -- no one was around - except for me and my friend. He was wearing sun-glasses and I recognized him immediately - as we're the same age and I remembered his music when he started singing. I said 'Hi Paul" and he was very unfriendly. He ducked into Penney's to get away from us. I thought he was strange. Turned out that he lived nearby in Westlake Village, CA and was in a bad marriage!!!! He was always a great performer - but anti-social.

I'm so sorry for you . I know the the feeling with Celebrities, especially when we have them on a pedestal.I have had that treatment more than once.

Yes he was, and was having an affair with my neighbor Josie. lol

We are seeing TB in Philadelphia in early November too. At 92 he just released a new album.

We've seen some really great concerts this year. We have one more in December; Andrea Bocelli almost always comes to the NYC in mid December. It's a perfect (for us) holiday treat.

We have seen him twice, first time was about 15 years ago at a small local venue and he was amazing and we saw him last year at one of the CT casinos and another amazing show

Didn't paul anka sell beauty products for the agin skin. I may be confusing him with another singer .

My very first concert was a Paul Anka concert at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City in 1958, I believe. I was very young but IN LOVE with him. Atlantic City used to be our family's vacation spot (this is back when it was a clean and decent vacation destination -- what a horror it is now!).

I was able to get his autograph that someone stole from my autograph book. Grrrr. Not many will recognize this name, but I also had Tennessee Senator Estes Kefauver's autograph. As was the custom at the time, officials from the U.S. Government would come to our large local cemetery where Francis Scott Key is buried and speak after laying wreaths on what we called Decoration Day (now Memorial Day). That is where I showed up with my little book.

I'm guessing I've seen him at least a dozen times over the course of my life. He's always given a top-notch performance. I remember the first time he used a screen on stage to show his lifetime in photos, while singing "The Times of Your Life." OMG I cried so much I was an embarrassment to myself lol

What I've always loved about his shows is that he walks through the entire theater taking photos with his audience. Back then there were no selfies, so Mr. Sunny took the photos of the two of us. I treasure those photos, even though there were hundreds of other women taking the same photo.

@golding76- I'm ashamed to admit I remember Estes Kefauver's name. I was a kid but I do remember he ran as VP with Adlai Stevenson. He lost to Eisenhower, probably in 1956. (I just googled and I was correct! How do I remember this trivia and I don't know what I did last night)??? I also remember that I had to do a report with his name and I had no clue how to spell it. I had to look him up in the encyclopedia. Imagine that!

His concerts may be schmaltzy but when he comes down the aisle singing Diana, everyone is dancing in their seats and singing along.

I must admit I cried a bit. This tour features songs of Frank Sinatra. He also does a tribute to Sammy Davis Jr, a video of a song PA wrote for him. Talk about tears.

I hope I'm never too old to enjoy songs of my lifetime. In 3rd grade I slept with my 45rpm of Diana under my pillow and cracked it. (it still played and I still have it) By 4th grade, I'd moved on to Frankie Avalon and Venus.

At our venue, the first 4 rows are the Golden Circle. We were in row 4 so there was a big aisle behind us. PA spent a lot of time in that aisle and at one point he reached for my phone and took a picture of the 2 of us. He did this while singing, without ever missing a beat.

I sent that picture to a bunch of people.

Although later in life I could understand the charm of Ike and our family all voted for him, at my tender age of __, I preferred Adlai Stevenson. Shades of who I was to become, I guess.

Remember the criticism of him? Egghead!

You guys just triggered a memory for me. Adlai Stevenson was originally from my hometown. When he died, there was a funeral procession for him and LBJ was there.

I was pretty young, but I remember my parents taking the whole family to the funeral parade.

Did you know he was a distant cousin of MacLean Stevenson?

Would love to see Tony Bennett perform! Best concert I have ever seen was Smoky Robinson.....omg..he sang for over two hours...jumping up and down off the stage to greet fans....and close to 70 years old at the time....best singer I have ever seen in person, and I have seen many.

I saw Paul Anka in 1962!!! Great performance!! "Put Your Head On My Shoulders" was my song!!! Still love to hear it!!

But the best concert ever was with Johnny Mathis!! Sang for hours...those songs really bring back memories!
