I discovered that they used to cut down deformed regular carrots to baby size. Now they actually grow baby carrots.</P> <P>I bought a bag of baby carrots at Costco recently, and I thought some looked like real baby carrots and some looked like they'd been pared down from larger carrots. One clue was that some looked very stubby on both ends.
