I hope so also. We are getting slammed in Pittsburgh with remnants of Hurricane Gordon. Over 4 inches in my rain gauge already. 🙏

We were there visiting family last week and got out just in time.

i checked the radar for your area this morning and DD said it had been raining continually since we left.

But I will say that your am temps looked nice (50’s)!

She said it is time to get out the 👢!

We're on a barrier island off the coast of GA, right at the GA/SC line.

All of us on the coast need to listen to the updates. The forecasters have learned so much in recent years, but Mother Nature doesn't talk to them - she just takes action when she wants to change course at the last moment!

I'm hoping for the best for all, but planning for the worst for my own locations.

Just put up the Hurricane Shutters. Packing GO bags for both parrot & dog. My GO bag packed - just getting the last of the laundry done and snack bags for the car - then we will be gone within the next day or so.

@KingstonsMom- I was thinking of you the other day - hope you do ok with the storm - although from the models I've seen, it looks to be more north of you - from Pawley's north.

I just finished getting all my storm supplies ready. Lowe's was a madhouse with people buying generators and water. It's best to be prepared, but I am praying this will take a turn outward. I don't know why, but the hurricanes that start with the letter "F" have been horrific for NC.

nfl football game is a mess today.

not sure what is going to happen later in the week with florence.

one good thing about today.......the COOLER WEATHER!

I hate it too... And as if this lousy, stinky summer for weather hadn't been enough, now we get to endure a few more months of advisories and potentially fetid weather...
