Is This Something New

So maybe I'm being nitpicky, but all of a sudden today on my Kindles two tabs pop up when I'm on QVC's website, a tab for QVC and for HSN (on the homepage and forum page). I find it annoying and would like to get rid of the HSN tab. It allows you to go back and forth to each website, I don't like it, I want it like it was!

Yep, it's new. Started yesterday for some users, today for me.

Of all the site problems here that need fixing, they continue to waste time and money throwing stuff on it that most users don't want.

Same ol' Q....different day, sigh!

Now how could this tiny thing be so bothersome? I would guess the majority of users would welcome the convenience of being able to easily switch between sites. Thousands of people shop both places. I'm betting your likes and dislikes will be disregarded.

I check out both HSN and QVC, so I like the new tabs....it's easy to go back and forth. The same tabs are on the HSN site as well. I can't quite see why it's so irritating to some people. My vote is a definite "yay".

@Alison Wonderland, I agree! I'm just glad it's not just me, I thought I did something wrong. Sure in the big scheme of things this is nothing, but I am a creature of habit, and I don't like it. Besides I'm quite capable of finding QVC and HSN all on my own without any help!

It started yesterday for me but once I clicked on the HSN tab I wasn't able to go back and forth. The tabs just went away.

@Mominohio Agree. Every dreadful thing that happens anywhere in the world is not under my control and while I can acknowldge them and their impact... that doesn't mean the things, big and little, that impact me directly are off base as topics for conversation and expressions of dissatisfaction... And yes, it is human nature...

I don't see an HSN tab on my iPad. I wouldn't care if I did. If I wanted to click it, I would. If not, I wouldn't.

I don't see it on my IPad 3, which is old, but I do see it on my IPad Mini 4 where the tab is the size of half my pinky fingernail. Doesn't bother me I can barely see it.

@Equuleus. If that little tab disrupts one's life, I'd say the life was deficit in many aspects. There's one thing certain about change....it will be resisted.

It would be OK if you can either opt in or opt out. Personally I don't want QVC to determine what websites I have open. Seems a bit invasive IMO.

This is all pretty silly. QVC and HSN are owned by the same parent company. They're giving their customers the OPTION of being able to easily click over to their other website regardless of which site you're on. No one is being forced to shop on either site. The tabs are at the top of a couple of pages....if a customer wants to use the tabs, then fine....if not, then that's fine too...simply ignore the tabs. I'm 70 years old and have seen some pretty big changes in my life - many of them related to the internet - this is not one of them.
