Hey Boop! Sounds good. When I was a little girl in the 60's, our father would take our family to Panama City for a week, every summer. We always stayed at Peek's Motel on the miracle strip and right on the beach. I hope time never removes my precious memories of that. Florida is a beautiful state. By the way, I have experienced the love bugs....

Lived in Orlando for 11 years. Got to thinking and acting like a Floridian. Couldn't stand it anymore and moved back to the Northeast and eventually New England.

We enjoy FL for a week here and there during our long PA winters. I’m not ready to move there full time. Not sure if that day will ever come but for now I still like the change of seasons.

I wish winter would end here on the first day of March. This past winter we had snow and cold temps until the end of April. 😞

Grew up in New York with 4 Seasons --- Summer (Hot/Humid), Fall (beautiful), Winter (Freezing, snowy, icy); Spring (beautiful). I've lived most of my life in Southern California --- I'm in Oxnard, CA and the weather is 50 to 80 degrees all year long with a little breeze --- it's not the same every day --- and I'm so grateful and lucky to have gotten out of NY. I've never gotten bored with the weather.

A type of flying insect that mates for days. They are stuck together and look like a two headed bug. They are a nuisance at worse. They do not bite or sting. They get smashed on you car and are a pain to get them off.

Oh, I forgot. The male dies after the mating and the female drags him around until she lays eggs. There are worse things to deal with in the grand scheme of things.

I'm pretty sure love bugs only live one day. We haven't seen them very badly in our 8 years here - I've been told it is because of the sea breezes.

@depglass, They're little black bugs that mate for about four weeks in May and Sept. They splatter all over windshields and car hoods and can be very hard to remove if you don't wash them off quickly enough.

@Cats3000, This made me laugh, I lived on the west coast of Fl. for 20 years and moved back to NY in 07'. I detest summer and hot weather so I honestly don't know how I lived there as long as I did, lol. I missed the four seasons, especially Fall/Winter. No regrets but glad to be back home.

I have relatives who have lived down here 40 years but they actually think and act the same as they always did.People in Florida are individuals just like everywhere else.

Every state should have one of those lists called "You know you are from ________, when" Up here, we get a lot of beer jokes. It's funny and should not be taken too seriously.
