To-MAY-toe?

I say To-MAY-toe. I grew up in the PNW so maybe how you pronounce it is from where you grow up?

East Coast here and I pronounce it the same way as you. I don't think I've ever heard anyone pronounce it the first way.

I was born and raised in So Ca and have always pronounced it Toe-MAY-toe, but my Mother was from England and although her accent diminished over the years she pronounced it Toe-MAH-toe.....

I thought the pronunciation was a US thing, the to May toe. Some other countries use the other pronunciation to Mah toe. That's how my family in Australia says it.
