I'm considering the really plush mattress made by this company. I asked this question regarding mattresses and one poster said she had purchased several Saatva and was pleased. My hesitation is I can't try it out. This was our mistake with our last mattress. It will cost $200 to return if we don't like it. Keep us posted if you decide to purchase.

@phoenixbrd Thanks for your reply. I'm really torn buying a mattress on line simply because you can't try it out. We spent so much time trying the last one, but my husband just doesn't feel like spending so much time in a furniture store. Nothing seems comfortable to him and that's my problem. He said buy one on line, but not lying on it is crazy, IMO. Saatv has so many 5 star reviews, you wonder if they're for real. The prices seem decent, but Costco has great prices, too on different brands. If a return is necessary, I believe they'll pick it up or it could be returned to their whse. Lots of thinking to do.

Wish more would respond.

*This comment is about the Zenhaven mattress, not Saavata. I was interested in their latex mattress and not the one with coils.*

I chatted with an online representative of the company. My question was how much it weighs and I believe the queen size is 125 pounds. The fact that it has a softer and firmer side interested me. They set it up according to your preference, but I wanted to make sure we could flip it if we decided to try the other firmness, thus my question about the weight.

I would guess every brand of memory foam mattress has a ton of rave reviews. They are supremely comfortable for people who have joint issues or problems with their backs that result in morning back aches. They support the pressure points on your body and you feel so much better; also sleep much better. Many of the mattress sellers will let you try the mattress for 90 days and return it free if you don't like it. I'd look for one of those sellers.

We have one and it is very comfy. My husband did a lot of research prior to buying. They also have the great return policy. Now if only I could find an awesome pillow for a stomach sleeper. P.s. we got the low box spring so our doggie could jump up. We really like the whole set up.

Last year I bought Jumbo Pillows (2-in-a-pack) from Costco. It also has the "cool" feature. I don't get hot, but I love these pillows.Very inexpensive. Go to Costco - big selection - or check the reviews on-line.

I am looking at this brand also for a new King and a Queen set. They look nice and get alot of reviews. I can't seem to f ind one I like either. I wonder if the Sleep Number would be good for changing the level of firmnes or softness. They are soo expensive.

We had Tempur-Pedic memory foam bed and I hated it because it was just too hot.

I gave it away and went back to a hard side water bed.

It offers the same comfort and the temperature is much easier to regulate, as well as it takes regular sheets/bedding.

I should have known when the salesperson said as we were leaving the store after our purchase, that we would never need a blanket again!

Just my own personal experience with memory foam beds.

I have a queen-sized Saatva mattress, the low-profile, low box spring configuration, which is still super tall in my sleigh bed. Be sure to think about how large these are.

I prefer an inner-spring coil mattress--that is what these are. They use organic cotton. A selling point for me (I can have allergies certain times of the year) is that reviews said they had no smell. Actually, when mine came, it smelled strongly of straw/grass that type of smell. It was gone in a week and created no allergies.

Its weight is the main downside. It doesn't even have those cords in the side that older mattresses had, to make them easier to move and flip. It's a two-person job to move it.

Everyone is so different, but for me this is an excellent mattress. I sleep more soundly on it. I've had it for two years, and no signs of lumps or bumps. The inner spring mattresses often don't last the longest, but this is holding up well. When I replace my guest room mattress, I will get another Saatva despite the inconvenience of its being so heavy.

@Jaspersmom Have you received your mattress yet? My husband wants to order the Saatva, I'm leaning towards the ZenHaven. I so wish we could experience these mattresses before ordering. The $200 return (plus the hassle) has stalled us from ordering. The only other mattresses that we have tried that we like range in price that is up to 10X the price of the Saatva. So it is very appealing financially.

I ordered the softest Saatva mattress about three months ago. This company has wonderful customer service. I like a really soft mattress and the Saatva was not soft enough for me. I was really impressed by the quality of this mattress. I had a relative that was in the market for a new mattress and I sold it to them. They love it. I really did not want to return this mattress to the company because I know they would have taken a loss on the return, so this worked out well for all of us.

I don't understand why mattresses can cost over $2,500 -- google all the information u can before buying any mattress. If u google mattress complaints - there are tons of them. Lots of people got scammed. When they say there's a 10 yr (or longer) warranty - guaranteed 95% of the companies will never replace it. Just be careful. Saatva has a very good reputation. Costco is another good place to check out mattresses on-line. They really stand behind their products.

We chickened out with buying a Saatva and bought a traditional Sterns & Foster. Too leary spending all that money on a mattress we couldn't try out. Maybe next time.
