But, I know nothing about these breeds except the pictures of them in our local newspaper, and of course they are as cute as can be. Both parents are with the puppies.</P> <P>I've been grieving the loss of Bootsy (maltese-poodle mix) for weeks now, but when I saw these puppies I thought maybe I could go see them and see how I feel. I really want another dog, and I want a puppy to grow with us. We are retired and have a loving country home with lots of time to spend with a puppy, and all that is involved getting it raised.</P> <P>I would like some feedback about the characteristics of these breeds, and also it has been so long since I looked at puppies---what are the criteria for picking a good puppy from a litter of 5.
