Attention mods

I am respectfully offering a suggestion. When threads are deleted, because of hurtful/nasty things said about any poster, I think it would be kinder to remove all traces of them, from the board. It isn't something that everyone needs to see, and insulting to those attacked, and perhaps hurtful

@cherry i agree. there were several this a.m. that attacked posters by name. they should be gone - nothing remaining.

i'm sorry, I don't understand how it can be hurtful. These are anonymous people, no faces or names. If they agree, disagree, or bash me doesn't bother me. I take what I need from posts and leave the rest. People need to have a thick skin to be on any forum.

I admit I reported both posts that I saw and asked if they could be removed, not just moved and the poster banned. I wasn’t sure if it was my place to do so, but it just made me so disgusted. @AnjalenaQVC was on it already. Thank you so much.

You obviously didn't see the threads. They were vicious and obscene, with their only purpose being name calling to a couple of our posters!

@I reported them in the very early AM and @AnjalenaQVC, disposed of them quickly!

Based on the content, I'm sure they were permanently banned, BUT it was a 'new poster', so they may still be around with their 'usual' nic, if you get my drift.

wonder if that person is back that hit a Christmas or so ago and the mods were off for couple of days and that 'person' tore thru here like a Tx tornado

I even contacted them offline to report that 'demon'.

She pretty well took a squat then hopefully they got her computer IP and put the skids to her joy ride.

Unfortunately, all they have to do is set up a new account using a different computer/tablet/phone, etc., which would have a different IP address than the one that was banned..

@CalminHeart it sounds like you have not been on the receiving end of a really hateful, hurtful comment. I have a thick skin, but I remember one evening reading a comment that made me sit back as if I’d been hit. I don’t remember who wrote it, I don’t remember the words. But I remember the feeling.

It’s very likely the person who wrote it had no idea the effect it would have. I guess we never really know how what we say will be seen/heard by others.

I have indeed been on the receiving end a number of times. I didn't know them and that's the piece people need to remember. I just don't get how some anonymous person can hurt someone's feelings or offend them. They may not agree with the poster. They may not wrap sweet flowery words around their responses. They may be very rude. Some random anonymous person can't make someone feel bad, hurt, offended unless they let them.

Obscene? Obscene to me means using some foul language and words that are blocked on these forums.

I agree, name calling is ridiculous. Grown-ups should know better than to get in the gutter and just be mean. I dislike the 'mean girl' more than you may know. It's rude and reduces that person to the lowest common denominator. It reflects on the person posting such garbage and not on the OP or other posters.
