I'm looking for advice about starting a new chapter in my life. I have recently lost both my parents and my only sibling. I want to move away from this awful Midwest weather to a nicer climate, perhaps somewhere in California. I have never been there and have no one there I'm close enough to whom I would want to be near. It's a daunting prospect to move across the country alone, but unless I want to live the rest of my life in an unhappy rut, I need and want to make a change. How do you start over all alone? I have also considered going to Ireland or the UK, but that would probably initially be more stressful..although I feel in many ways I would feel more at home there . Any advice?
