Hi All,

I don't post often but today has been the hardest day of my life and I need to know if it gets better...My mom has early on-set dementia and is now 69 and has been living with me for 5 years. My sister and I decided a few weeks ago to start looking for homes for her as she was getting worse. To make a long story short, she fell down the stairs a week ago Sunday and was hospitalized for 10 days. During the hospital stay it was decided to place her, since she was clearly in need of better care than I could give.

Not looking for sympathy, but last night she was finally placed and I lost it on the way out the door of the home. Does anyone have any experience with this, does it get better??? TIA
