topic Question about "feral" kittens in Community Chat

I didn't do any research yet, but what actually constitutes a feral newborn kitten? When Polly became a resident at our house her eyes had not yet opened, so in every sense, the only mother she would know is me. She has been a beautiful clean intelligent responsible pet. And the only thing feral that she does is scream once in a while, and since I do too, I can't think being feral has anything to do with that. Is her skill at being a wonderful pet unusual?
