Target Today 7/17

Great sales on tons of stuff online. I ordered everything from dinnerware to mouthwash. No website glitches (unlike Nordstrom and Amazon). I’d leave my cart for awhile, come back to my cart untouched still full. No issues on website crashing or slow. Finally a good online shopping day 😀

The b&m Target is slick. I found something for a a friend of mine online for $21. Only 2 left at the b&m store in my hood. I printed out the page.

We went to the store & saw that the item was listed for $26. We went to the cashier & I showed him my printout as his cash register showed the higher price.

He called the supervisor & I showed her my printout. She checked the register. Then the supervisor whips out her cell phone. She then tells the cashier to give my friend the lower price. Nowhere on the website did the price state *online only.* That was my saving grace.

It pays to printout the online cheaper price before walking into a b&m store.

That happened when I bought a freezer at Sears. It showed one price online with $100 more at the store. I had the printout with me. After much arguing they finally sold it to me for $100 less as it showed online. Not my fault it had the wrong price listed online. LOL!!!

I knew it was a good deal before I went to Sears. I checked the price at Lowe's & it was $125 more.

Dead center, near the top of their home page it says “today only. Online only”.

I just checked the item my friend purchased. Today it's 25% off. Only 1 left.

Yes, totally agree with checking online versus just going into any store and paying

their price.

A year ago I was looking for a new toaster oven. The price online was only $5

cheaper than in the store but why should anybody even pay $5 more if they

don't have too?

Lowes is offering online deals today also. It is their second day trying to compete

with the others.

Guess by next year it will be even more of a big deal with these cyber deals!

Last year I bought a backpack at Target and was in a rush to leave and paid little attention to the price. At home later, I checked their sale ad online for the week, same item for maybe 60% less. I went back the next day and got one of the many paper sale papers they had out and it was right there. I had to push for it but managed to get around by returning it and repurchasing at the sale price. But the person at the return desk was not happy about it because they had never put the sale price in the system.

Target will match an online price. Even their online price. I’ve done it many times. No problem.

@Mz iMac - they did the same thing to my husband today. We needed a new non-stick frying pan. The on line price and the in store price were the same but when they rang it up it came up as full price instead of half off.

I've done this at many stores. If you show a manager a lower price on your phone from that store or one of their competitors they will give you the lower price no questions asked. The only difficult one to use as a comparison is Amazon - marketplace items will not be matched.

This is to increase customer satisfaction but few people take advantage of it. It never hurts to politely inquire if the store will match a lower online price you found that day. I've even had stores give me a coupon discount which my email stated was online only.

Target, Walmart, etc all trying to compete with Amazon. They make it to hard and annoying seaching and reading all the fine print.

Yes it did say on-line only. I put a set of sheets in my cart yesterday & purchased on-line this morning @ 30% off. I opted for in store pick-up. Within 5 minutes I got a txt that my order was ready for pick-up !!!!

Wal-Mart has a Faberware 3.2 qt Air Fryer for $39 & a Hamilton Beach bread machine for $37. They had Dyson V8 Absolute for $365 as does Amazon.

Amazon has the Philips Sonicare Diamond electric toothbrush for $100 it's $100 off.

Amazon kept coming up Oops for me yesterday. I did not have any problems last night.
