How do you get resolution to return a ring from Birthday deals - called and wrote several emails

on FB for a ring for January which I ordered. The ring arrived and it is too heavy for my small finger and wish to return it. I have called the number listed and wrote several emails asking where I can return it and have my money refunded to my credit card. Still no response.

Has anyone on the board dealt with Birthday Deals and encounted a no response to return an item ??

Would appreciate any help on this matter and THANKS!

Have done that repeatedly not oncem but several times leaving a message to call me just giving me the address t return a ring I don't want to keep. Also emailed several times....ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS I HAVE NOT TRIED???

@RINGER. Was this a QVC purchase? They come with an invoice with return instructions plus there are instruction on this very website. Pick up the phone and call someone if you have a question.

Huh ?????? When did QVC customer service become a "please leave a message" phone line?

It sounds like the OP ordered a ring from a company who advertised on Facebook - company is called Birthday Deals. If the company won't respond, then she might try to send a complaint to Facebook, but I doubt that will do much good. I think I'd probably google the company and see what kind of comments you find from other people who have ordered from them - then you'd know what you're dealing with....a legitimate company or not.

The ring was purchased on a FB site, not from QVC.

I agree with @millieshops, I would call my CC company and have them reverse the transaction, due to that company's lack of response for a return and refund.

That'll get their attention.....

Sorry, but I think you might be SOL in this case. Buying off these random sites that pop up on Facebook is a risky thing. You don't know who they are, where they are located, etc., and they're often ripoff companies. They have your money now and they have no interest in customer service or returning your call. They are likely overseas which makes it even more difficult for you to get anywhere. I've seen it happen with friends and even family. They order, thinking they're getting a fantastic item at an amazing price and it ends up as money down the drain. Item sizing is never accurate or in line with US sizing. Items never look like the pictures. You name it. Your are too late to file a dispute with your credit card company. You've had the item for 6 months. The time in which to file a credit card dispute is 60 days from the billing date. At this point, the only thing you can do is to accept the loss and learn the lesson to not fall for purchasing from questionable sites anymore.

Calling CC is your best solution for getting your $ back. Send a tweet out on Twitter and tag the company to share your complaints about the Customer Service. Some companies react more quickly to Twitter than they do to email or phone calls.

Ordering from no-name websites is not a good idea. I'm sure you all have seen these dress fails.

The dress on the left is the one you think you are ordering and the one on the right is what you get.

Aw gee just wear the ring. Providing the OP didn't spend a lot of money on it. If its such a hassle trying to return it, just caulk it up to experience and wear it in good health!

At least she got a product! I ordered from the Internet and NEVER received anything, finding out later it was a scam from Shanghai. I even checked reviews on line and they were apparently FAKE too. Always use a credit card or PayPal, usually you are protected.

Oh yeah, for sure. A friend of mine ordered a big stuffed animal elephant pillow for her little boy. It was huge, overfilled, and super cute in the picture. What she received was similar in difference like that dress. Quite pathetic.

Unless a promotion on Facebook is directly posted by some entity whose page you're following, it's not a good idea to click on the post much less buy from them. Those promos often are nothing but clickbait or like-farming and can be perilous. They remind me of the stock movie character who shows up on a busy sidewalk and opens a big coat to display cheap watches for sale, but the dude on the sidewalk is probably safer than the Facebook baiters.

Lots of unscrupulous companies online. I did a quick look and don't see a company by that name, @RINGER. Exactly what is the name of the business from which you purchased the ring, if you don't mind telling us? I'm sorry this happened to you, and I guess it's at the least a good warning for everyone.
