Where do you shop?

That is, do you prefer to shop online or go shopping outside in the stores? I would say that today, I shop 95% online and 5% in the store. Due to medical reasons my walking is not the same but I use to love shopping outside in a mall especially at Christmas with all the decos and then stop for a hot buttered rum. This was way back in my early 30's. How about you? What is your shopping habit(s) and why?

It depends on what I’m shopping for as to where I shop. If I need something special for a gift or for myself I shop at locally owned boutiques. If I’m looking for something generic I’ll shop online. I have access to Ulta and Sephora for cosmetics,but QVC and Browgal which I can’t buy at those stores.

90% of my shopping is done online.

I went to the mall and grocery store today for the first time in months. I was quickly reminded why I shop online.

I do curbside pick up for groceries. Chewy for pet foods. QVC for gadgets. Amazon for cleaners and paper products.

I do 98% of my shopping online. If I can get things I want from the drugstore at Amazon I will also. The only time I go there is if I go to pick up prescriptions and then might buy something. I always hated shopping at B & M stores. It's such a waste of time (finding time to go, not finding what you want, spending time finding parking) and money (spent on spur of the moment buys as well as eating out or snack food that tempted me). People in general are just much ruder now so no thanks on B & M shopping for me!!!!

Mostly B & M stores. When shopping for clothes, I especially love shopping a few boutiques in one of our quaint towns nearby. One in particular, when I walk in the sales associate knows me and starts going around the store picking things she knows I like. Nothing like living rural!

I love, love, love, shopping at retail stores and malls. I've always loved it. It pains me that malls and stores are closing and having a hard time of it. Of course, online shopping is convenient, its great for locating hard to find items, and of course, for mobility issues. But I just don't get the pleasure or gratification out of online shopping that I do with shooping in person, and so I do it very minimally. I also want to support the local stores and malls. For me, shopping is not tedious, but fun!!!!

If I can find it on line with free shipping and a little back from Ebates it doesn't matter what store it comes from, that's where I will buy it.

I'm not much of a shopper, but prefer online shopping for optional items. I haven't been in a mall for years and very rarely visit department stores...just not a priority.

I would say 90% of my shopping is done online. Our closest mall closed, making it more difficult to shop in person. I miss the Macy’s store, especially their Charter Club line. There are things I like to see in person to check the fit.

I do both. I don't necessarily "walk and browse" the mall anymore, but I'll go to the mall to a specific store if I'm looking for something.

I buy my clothes at Talbots and J Jill, both in the stores and online.

I'm a huge Amazon shopper and I shop some at QVC. I also like Etsy.

I shop smaller local gift type shops.

And I do quite a bit of online shopping.

Just about 100 percent of my shopping is in malls and b/m stores. I like being out and about; plus I want to see what I'm buying in person.

I enjoy going to the stores. I live close to two malls so easy shopping and walking for us. My favorite store is Dillard’s and my fav lines are Investments, Ruby Rd, and Westbound.

The bigger mall has a new Pandora (jewelry) store which I enjoy visiting. Then DH and I grab something from Starbucks. Nice and relaxing.

As long as I can, I enjoy malls and B&M stores.

I live near a very large urban area with great shopping choices. Besides the typical chain stores there are many boutiques and one-of-a-kind stores locally owned. I also love consignment and thrift stores. Very close by there is a small, very high income town and the stuff I find at consignment is incredible. Very high end, hardly used.

I have horrible luck buying online. My delivery is spotty and there always seems to be a hassle either ordering, receiving the correct item or not getting it at all. Not worth the stress. I'm not that big of a shopper. I would say 95% local, 5% online.

When I want a day to myself I like to just walk around the stores, so I'll go to the mall and just wander about. Often I don't buy anything. I love to go to Kirklands.

I value my time too much to spend it roaming around to find things I need, so Amazon gets a lot of my business. I can go online, find exactly what I want, and not waste time looking for it in a store then maybe going from store to store. I HATE that. Yesterday I got new mailing labels for the printer, ink and fountain pen cartridges from Amazon. They came in one day.

I buy groceries mostly at a small natural foods store or Whole Foods (we cook mostly from scratch) and go to a regular grocery store maybe every 4 to 6 weeks.

Clothes? Talbots, usually online. Malls don't have much of what I want any more, and I don't go to stores that sell decor and knick nacks because my days of buying those things are over. At the mall, I'll go to Williams Sonoma for sale items and some of their mixes and olive oils and vinegar; Pottery Barn sometimes; Apple store for needed items there; and that's about it. I buy makeup from Nordies and Neiman Marcus online because I knew when they have special sales and gifts with purchase and I know what I'm looking for, PLUS FREE SHIPPING and Nordies free returns.

I still enjoy going to the stores. I like being able to look things over, try things on and pick the items I want. I may order something online once in a blue moon if I know what the item is like and or it fits, but they don't have the color or pattern, etc in the store and the shipping is either free or not too expensive.
