Northwest Cherries!

Today I bought my first Northwest cherries of the season (they made their way to the East coast) and they're wonderful. All of the fruit I've bought this spring/summer has been exceptional. The only thing that's been lacking (big time) has been tomatoes, but my garden is lookin' good and I'll have those tomato sandwiches that I so love in another month - can't wait!

Yes, I agree. I live in NY +!the summer fruit 🍇🍓🍒🥝lately has been wonderful ( especially the cherries.)..the food stores by me have them at $1.99 /lb starting tomorrow! I have been having them for dessert after dinner..🍒🍒😊. Enjoy..

@KKlim, My grocery store had the Northwest cherries on sale today for $1.99 a pound too- can't beat that! In a couple of weeks we New Yorkers should be seeing Ranier cherries - another favorite!

I wait with anticipation for the organic cherries....they are in at Costco. Guess what I'm eating every day!

@Its Me LuLuBelle2 Rainier cherries are also a NW cherry, they were developed at Wash State University and named after our beloved Mt Rainier. Even here in Wa state they are expensive, about 4.99 a lb. The Rainiers are my absolute fav. Enjoy your cherries!

Rainier cherries made it to the midwest last week. They're so good!

I hope the midwest follows with your pricing. They're on sale for $5.99 per pound here.

Our Traverse City cherries aren't ready yet. Almost~~ I really wanted some cherries last week and broke down and got some from Washington state...ugh they were horrible! I knew I should never buy anything but from my roadside stands here where we grow the best!!

I live in Mi, and the NW cherries, are everybit as good as ours. Ours are wonderful, but nothing surpasses the Ranier cherries ,in my book

I have been eating them for a couple of weeks. They are expensive ,but I, am diabetic ,so ,I buy them, because it is a snack I can eat. They don't seem to spike my blood sugar

FNC did a story yesterday on your Cherry Festival! I just polished off two pounds of cherries from Linden, CA. Apparently, they have an annual Cherry Festival, too.

I miss the California cherry orchards, pre-Silicon Valley. We'd drive to Sunnyvale and buy them at the stands. Seems like a million years ago...

$1.69 / lb. at Krogers. The cherries are from WA, which are much better than the California cherries that were here a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know what they're called, but my neighbor has a huge cherry tree that makes the best cherries ever. They are the deep red ones. I never got into the Rainiers, but I know they're popular.

My husband got out one of his ladders and picked me a couple bags Neighbor has always said take as much as we want because he doesn't pick them at all. Between us and the birds, there are plenty.

His tree doesn't have cherries every year, though. i don't know if that is normal or what, however, as I know zip about gardening type stuff.

They were $5.98/lb at Walmart yesterday in Colorado Springs and the pickin's were slim. but I bought 'em anyway. I love cherries!
