Did you ever Wonder?

Amy S. wore a Diamonique ring (square diamond surrounded by black diamonds) for some time. Did you ever wonder if she was wearing it to promote sales of that ring? Now she is wearing a different ring and already some women have noticed the new ring. Also reminds me of Shawn wearing all those statement earrings.

I thought at one time she said it was her engagement ring. Wore it for years. Hope I’m not dreaming.

@Katcat1 I no longer watch QVC on a regular basis but I did happen to see Amy selling the ring you referenced on a show this week. I watched her presentation for about five minutes while she showed the new ring and the ring she said was hers. I don't wonder either but they are under pressure to sell, sell, sell. If her efforts have paid off and she's able to upgrade, good for her.

No l never wondered, nor do I watch QVC much. See nothing wrong with changing her ring, or any other jewelry item.

No one has the power to make me buy or spend money. Hosts are there to sell. Why shouldn't they promote, as well share their own experiences.

@Katcat1 OK, I'm curious and don't watch QVC live. What is the number of Amy's new ring? Let's see how her taste has changed over the years! If I remember correctly, she had lovely diamond wedding band before working at QVC. Then, she bought the "engagement" ring to wear with her own wedding band, which is obviously a very high quality eternity band. I do like Amy's honesty about her rings!

There is another host who has flaunted her wedding rings, which are clearly not a very high quality (yellow tones) . . . but they are large. Large is more important to her than quality.

Of the two, I'd trust Amy and her honesty about wearing her real platinum wedding ring and a Diamonique engagement ring. No pretenses. She wear it everywhere; not just on QVC for making sales. She seems genuinely proud to be wearing Diamonique. I've never owned any faux diamonds, but Amy seems like the real deal when talking about her own experience with it.

ETA: What happened to all of Shawn's big, bold sterling rings? She often said she preferred sterling to all other metals. One right hand ring (years ago) was especially pretty and kind of a "signature ring". Didn't care for those statement rings she sported and sold.

Yes, I have heard her say that it was her engagement ring & she had worn it for 7 years. I bought that same ring for my birthday in January of 2017 & it's just as beautiful now as the day that I got it. I get lots of compliments on it. One lady was with her teenaged daughter and said "whomever designed your ring did a fabulous job.

Never really thought about it much but it's possible. I think with Amy's ring, she loved it, bought it, and wore it for years next to her wedding band. Now she's loving the new copy of Megan's engagement ring and is trying it on for size. Well, I'm "assuming" it's the new diamonique ring, but don't know that for sure. It could be a beautiful new diamond ring. BTW, if it was a selling ploy, it finally worked on me. I bought the original one, J276996, about a month ago and I absolutely love it! This one:

I didn't wonder about it, I just assumed that she wore that ring to promote DMQ. I noticed that she changed rings, it looks like she's were the ring that was inspired by Meghan's engagement ring.

There's never been a reason to wonder, Amy talked about that ring, how much she loved it & chose it because she didn't want to spend a lot of money on the real deal....now years later she's decided to wear another that's a copy of Megan's ring, the Diamonique rep mentioned how much Amy liked it during a presentation with another host.

i rarely even notice what a host may or may not be wearing on their fingers. i am sure they are selling/promoting whatever qvc tells them to promote at the time they are on the air. it is qvc and they are in the business to sell whatever they have in stock.

@kitcat51You are correct. I was watching the day she mentioned that she saw the ring a long time ago, loved it and wore it as her own and would never spend thousands of dollars on the real thing but did say that her wedding band that she wears with it is real. That was the first time I saw it and loved it too but waited too long to order because like most everything else on qvc's website it went up in price. I hate that and so now say forget it, I won't buy it.

As an aside, Shawn had her wedding ring recreated in diamonique and when she had to sell it showed the viewing audience the side by side difference. The diamonique was flawless and lighter in color than Shawn's ring and she said that while the diamoninque version made hers look yellow, nevertheless, she loved it because it came from Joe and meant so much to her. I think no one would or should ever do that again....a side by side comparison. It was painful to watch Shawn say she loved her yellow looking ring and no it was not a yellow diamond.
