Moses Farrow Speaks Out

I highly recommend reading Moses Farrow's recently released essay, "A Son Speaks Out" which you can Google. I won't post the link here, as there is language in it. Moses is the adoptive son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, and he reveals some very detailed, interesting information on growing up in the Farrow household. Moses is now 40 years old and a family therapist.

After reading this article, I also recommend reading Robert B. Weide's two articles, "The Woody Allen Allegations: Not So Fast," and "Hard Questions for Ronan Farrow: An Open Letter." These give very specific facts about what we know. I believe most people just assume that Woody Allen is a child molester, but I believe most people are also clueless as to the facts. I really do believe that Dylan Farrow believes that she was molested by her father, Woody Allen, when she was a child. After reading these articles, I also believe that although she truly believes it happened, in reality, it never did.

He was interviewed, as a small boy ,and said exactly the opposite. He said Woody threatend to knock his teeth down his throat. He also said Woody was guilty

I saw it mysself ,during all of the hoopla on TV..

@cherry Yes, that is addressed in the article. Perhaps you should read it to learn why he said that.

I saw this earlier on another board and read the entire piece. It is quite compelling and, sans many of the more horrific details about the mother, I could totally feel what he was saying.

I'm not a jury. I'm just me. But I have always felt that this whole thing was more about her just trying to ruin Allen's life. I've seen her over the decades acting in a way that totally fits in with this young man's rendition.

Of course the kids said what they were told to say. It really does work that way and then at some point you are able to get away from the control and see things the way they really were.

I don't remember knowing about many of those kids and didn't even know about all the suicides. Sure makes sense for all that they dealt with (allegedly) at her hands, though!

@Tinkrbl44 He had done interviews and talked about what is discussed in this article for several years. I think the #metoo movement and seeing his father being wrongly accused once again may have something to do with him being a little more thorough with his thoughts at this time. I don't think he has anything to gain by taking sides or lying about this.

People who grow up in the same family can have vastly different recollections, feelings, memories, and ideas about their experiences in that family. Ask any therapist.

Adults can still also be easily manipulated. The whole thing is a very sad state of affairs.

@tansy True, but he started up his relationship with his father again several years ago, so it could be that he just sees his dad being treated unfairly. It's not like he wrote the article then showed up on his doorstep. Also, he's a family therapist in NYC, so I imagine he's paying his bills just fine.

I think the reason Dylan was believable was because of WA's relationship with Mia's adopted daughter. WA if I'm not mistaken, was a father figure to her or was suppose to be. The fact that they had intimidate relations and ran away together led credence to Dylan's story, imo....that he was nothing but a sick dirty old man.

If Moses is correct, there's a whole lot people that owe WA a huge apology.

@puttypiesmom Yes, the articles I posted do discuss this, and you're right, it was gross that Allen cheated on his girlfriend with her adopted daughter. Soon-Yi's father was Andre Previn, and I believe they had a father daughter relationship. Woody never really had interactions with Soon-Yi when she was growing up, because she had her own father, and he didn't want to interfere. It was Mia who urged Woody to bond with Soon-Yi, so he started taking her to baseball games. That's when they started getting attracted to each other.

He states he was waiting for the dust to settle after the renewed allegations earlier this year.

I remember some of Bing Crosby's kids from his first marriage made horrible claims about him in a book and then both sons recanted almost all of it before they died.

There's definitely a lot going on in that family. Somewhere in everyone's version is the truth.

@Greeneyedlady21, how true. I didn't grow up with anything like this, but I had an older brother and have an older sister. My brother and I would remember events that happened, my sister didn't remember anything! It's like we didn't grow up in the same household, I think she has selective memories.

Moses is now 40 yrs old and said he was forced by his mother Mia to agree with her - and blame Woody Allen. I also thought Woody was a child molester from all Mia's accusations -- now I'm on Woody's side.
The perpetrator is MIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad the truth came out.
