Speaking of weddings, my husband and I just returned from one tonight. It was supposed to begin at 6, or so we thought. And we got there an hour early because we didn't know what kind of traffic we might run into. So about 6:30 we all went outside for the ceremony. It was damp, no sun that day, and the wind was blowing. I was ffffffreezing! Good thing the ceremony was short. Then we all went inside for hors deuvres (or however you spell it). There was standing room only in that area. After what seemed like forever, we went into the reception. But the band started playing VERY LOUDLY for an hour or 2. THEN "stations" were opened where we had to get up, go to a station for a bite and bring it back to our table. Then off to another station to do the same. It was awful!!! And me, with my bad back, ended up sitting FIVE hours! One of the worst weddings I've ever been to.

@Daisy SunflowerIt was at quite a lovely country club. Maybe it's the latest rage to have these "stations." I'd rather sit and be served a dinner. But they're a wonderful couple. As far as the gift, my husband will always do the right thing, regardless of what anyone else does.
