In theory, it would be awesome. In reality, that's a wild animal and I'm not jumping in the water with it.

IMO, that was pretty foolish of her. Things could have turned terribly bad in a matter of seconds.

What an awesome experience! I hope I would have the guts to do it, if I was given the opportunity, which in my reality will probably never happen.

Did anyone see the video that came up immediately after this one? A lone kayaker out in the middle of the ocean, a large shark (maybe a great white), knocked the person off and was pulling the kayak through the water, leaving the person stranded. Someone called for help and the person was eventually rescued, but it was several minutes that they were helpless.

There are reasons why environmentalists don’t want the

Tim Stewart, a 57-year-old kayaker in New Zealand, heard about a pod of orcas hanging out near Army Bay in Whangaparaoa and decided to head out onto the water to see if he could spot them.

So did Sam Kynman-Cole, a photographer for TopView Photography.

About a half hour later, some orcas showed up around Stewart's kayak and Kynman-Cole captured the encounter on video via a drone.

Kynman-Cole was "totally stoked" to capture the encounter on video, and the footage was impressive, but the actions of Stewart were totally illegal.

Fairfax Media reported that under the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1991, it is illegal to swim within 100 meters of a whale, including orcas, and the potential fine is $10,000. Boaters, too, are to remain 100 meters from whales.

I love all animals, in theory it would be AWESOME, but this is a wild animal, and after a few minutes I would probably be viewed as a nice meal, so in reality I would say no......but Id love to watch the orca from shore....

Heck no! I couldn't even watch the whole video with feeling sick. I can only go out in the ocean up to my waist, and then I have to turn around and head back to the shore. Yeah, I'm a wimp. hahaha

I've swam along side of a group of wild dolphins...so close I could touch them. But an Orca...?? I'm not sure I would do that. They have big teeth! Yikes.

Oras are not whales. They are dolphins. The largest of the Dolphin family. Killer Whals is misleading. they have nothing to do with whales.

Dolphins are toothed whales and the largest dolphin is the Orca

Transient Orcas eat smaller dolphins. Resident orcas are dolphin's best buddies. All they eat are fish. They play with them. Offshore Orcas eat sharks. Transient Orcas are the true killers. Roaming the ocean, sometimes alone hunting any Marine Mammal. Hunting anything from seals to the offspring of Blue Whales. All three groups avoid or ignore each other when they meet up. To avoid interbreeding.

Probably not with an Orca or any sharks. I have swam with dolphins long long ago. I always loved the water (swimming in pools and going in the ocean) when I was younger. Now i just go in my hot tub and relax :-) My guess, I love water because I am a Scorpio. lol.
