Current Favorite "Fast Food"

I'm going to be cooking a fair amount this weekend, but tonight, our son is off to his part-time job as a bus boy at a nearby "white table cloth" restaurant. So hubby and I decided to grab some take-out.

Has "Subway" been upping their game a bit? We keep getting coupons from them, and I've been liking their "rotisserie chicken" sandwich. Much fresher than their other chicken or turkey-- tastes like right off the bird. I have them pile a 6 inch whole wheat with chicken, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, oil and vinegar. At home I just add on a little horseradish (I love horseradish) and it's quite good!

My other favorite fast food find is McDonald's plain black iced coffee. Our local McD. seems to make it quite strong and flavorful.

Have you found something good and convenient too?

I like Panera. We have a drive thru and I love their soups, salads and sandwiches.

right now it would have to be SONIC. it may change though in a month or so.

Everything sounds to good but every now and then we split a foot long from Sonic or at Braum’s get a small yogurt cone for $1.

@Oznell, I'm also a fan of Subway. In fact I got a tuna sub today, I really like the choice of cheeses, vegetables, and dressings. Love the 9-grain wheat bread too.

Mine is the Chipotle Veggie Burrito. I also can never leave there without the guacamole and chips no matter how hard I try!

I don’t eat out often but I like Starbucks sous vide egg bites....aaaaaaamazing.

I guess the closest I get to fast food is KFC. I don't do other things, because I try to keep my blood sugar low..

Tuna on 9 grain is my favorite too w/creamy Italian dressing

We have been going to Culvers - DH likes the burgers but I like the chicken sandwich. And the ice cream.

Apple pecan chicken salad

Wendy's signature salad with hand-picked red and green apples, crumbled blue cheese, sweet cranberries, roasted pecans, warm grilled chicken and Marzetti® Simply Dressed® Pomegranate Vinaigrette. I get their half size.

I also like their Taco salad

I like McDonald's Pico Guacamole Crispy Chicken on an artisan bun [Grilled chicken breast with guacamole, pico de gallo, buttermilk ranch dressing, white cheddar cheese, and lettuce on an artisan bun]. Yum!

kFC forever! Thighs are my favorite. I order those exclusively in the drive though.

My idea of "fast food" is the Whole Foods buffet....It consists of the most expensive salad...but it is fast, organic, and they have two choices of oil free dressing to go with!

One other emergency go-to last resort fast food is Baja Fresh....I get a plate of black beans and rice with no cheese, but add sliced avo on top. Then I add a small side salad....hold the cheese and dressing. Then I go to the side bar and load up a lot on fresh Pico de Gallo for dressing. Beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, avo,....it will do when in an emergency. Not bad at all!
