SOME HAPPY TV NEWS

I was watching my local Dallas evening news when they started talking about a 105 year old man who still drives himself and volunteers at a local hospital. I was shocked! He looked so good! If I were guessing, I wouldn't have thought him to be much over 70 - 75. He seemed a little annoyed that people were surprised that he could still drive - a very interesting guy. He also mentioned that he remembered when Social Security came about. He said they withheld 18 cents out of his $9.00 check! LOL! I didn't catch where he was from....since it was local channel, I'm assuming somewhere in the DFW metroplex. Not many people get to live that long AND be in the shape he is.

My uncle volunteered at the food bank, and hospital till he was 101. He just passed at 102. He was driving till the past 6 months or so.

There were 3 brothers and 1 sister. My dad passed at 68 (tumor brain), sister passed at 93, my other uncle passed at 85 or so.

Wow! He looks 75 maybe! What a wonderful story. The sad part that he lost the love of his life..... his wife......they never mentioned children. I wonder if he out lived them too?

I just saw on our news that active people greatly reduce risk of Alzheimer’s.I think that sweet man has kept himself so busy that he didn’t have time to age so much.
