Do you like the earrings that Shawn is wearing?

I really enjoy Shawn's presentations. I just don't understand the huge earrings that she wears now. I liked the statement silver bracelets she wore much more than these earrings, they sure do demand attention though.

What's there to understand? She likes the look. Seems pretty simple. I myself would not wear them as I don't like my ears or any attention brought to them. I wear a simle small earring. If others don't understand it, oh well.

I like the look on Shawn. It suits her.

There's another post on this topic somewhere. Shawn is wearing the earrings for an upcoming Gili line. Hopefully someone can fill in the missing pieces.

Statement earrings are the new trend - like statement necklaces. Shawn is promoting a line that's coming out for Gili. I've noticed female news anchors wearing these statement earrings.

@saltysails Personally, I cannot stand them on her and probably would not like them on anyone. They look ridiculous and Shawn is too cute to have that distraction around her face. If GILI is going to present these ~ BOO !

I actually like them - on her! Not so sure how I'd look in them and then I may not be able to handle the stares I'd get from folks! I've seen others on TV wear them lately too. It's probably the next BIG thing and yes, it seems GILI will be bringing them to QVC.

I guess I won't be in style until statement bracelets and rings come around again.

I don't care for large earrings on me, although on others they are fine. And I never liked those bib-like statement necklaces. I prefer smaller necklaces too, although I have been enjoying the long necklace look for a while now.

Shawn has been wearing these huge statement earrings since last summer. She specifically said Jill Martin got her wearing them when they were in the Hamptons together. Prior to that, Shawn was never an earring person.

Shawn said that the earrings came from Etsy. Now she is doing them for GILI so she doesn't have to buy them from Etsy according to her.

Personally, I'm not into these big statement earrings. I remember when I wore them back in the day and loved them but not anymore. I'd also hazard a guess that the GILI line will be far too pricey for a major trend that will be gone in a few months.

cbrite said exactly what I was going to say. Nix on the earrings, but I loved the jeans. Anyone know if they are QVC's? I have never adopted the ankle pants and never will.

My dil was wearing some the other day that came down to her shoulders and were wide too.

They were pretty and she looks good in everything!

I was wondering if they were heavy and imagined I could never wear earrings that large.

Plus now, I think I would look ridiculous in them.

But on her they were pretty and matched what she was wearing.

I remember reading a Marilyn biography once, and she claimed she often did not wear any jewelry at all because it took away from the real her.

In many of her photographs, she is jewelry free.

I guess the lesson is, if you got it, then you really do not need ostentacious earrings [or clothing. or faux tans, or fancy high-heeled boots, or.....]
