I fully understand wanting to pay off debt - and that's what EZPay is.

I am fortunate that I could pay off my current EZPays, but for me, having to make all those payments all the time on my credit card is a constant reminder to me to buy what I need instead of what I want until the EZPays are much lower! I've changed from the random, impulse buyer I was some years ago, but as with any other habit, changing it requires constant attnetion.

@so soI don't need much general retail right now. I do have several products on my Auto-delivery list and I've just gone into my account and skipped shipments for the next 10 weeks! By then I hope to feel a bit of that freedom you've gotten for yourself. In the meantime, I'll hope you stay healthy and can also get those medical bills under control.

I never use the easy pay option. I don't make large purchases from QVC though. One time I purchased something for around $20 and forgot to check that it was to be paid one time. I had something like six very small payments. I was so glad when that was paid off.

Easy Pay is one of those blessings/curses in life!

It really is like paying cash, in that if you keep current, you are incurring no interest.

It lets me keep my QVC purchases separate from other things I order online and use a credit card for. And for me that was eye opening, realizing just how much I was spending at the Q. When it all went on one card with other shopping, it was easier to ignore just how much of that was Q spending.

It can keep you hooked, because the small multiple payments individually seem so doable, but they certainly can add up. And some thing financed over five or six months is a help, other things, it simply is an enabler to buy more than we need.

Congrats, I know it must be satisfying I only use easy pay when I think I may return something so that way I only pay a portion before I receive the credit I did use it for my Vitamix since I didn't have it in my monthly budget to pay $400 in one shot.

Congratulations!!

The only reason I use Easy Pay is when I purchase something and I am not sure if I am going to keep it. Sizing on clothing here is all over the place. That way I only laid out a small amount of money rather than the full price of an item if I need to return it.

It works for me but do understand how it may be difficult for some. The minute I receive the item I decide whether I am keeping it and then pay off all the easy pays ahead of time. That way they are not hanging over my head to pay over a few months.

When I first started watching QVC, (25+ years ago) I had a Q card and used EZ pay. When the monthly bill came, I found I could not remember what the EZ pays represented.

I cut up the card and said never again.

Over the years I've been floored when posters discuss how many EZ payments they have monthly.

Yes, EZ pay has its place but (IMO) more often than not, it encourages people to buy things they cannot really afford, and do not really need.

Then again it is none of my business how others choose to spend their money.

I probably would have taken care my medical expenses before I bought things on Easy Pay. However, you're free now and hopefully you won't succumb to the lure of EP again.
