A pedicure. I splurged and love the results and don’t want to ruin by pulling on warm socks. Flip flops not pleasant.

Nobody wants to look at your toes but you.

Since you started a thread about it, I think you should keep them moisturized.

Warm sock ruin a pedicure? Really? Have not experienced that. I love great looking toes & feet all year round.

I still get a pedicure in the winter, though not as often. However, I only have clear polish applied. That way, I "know" by looking at me tootsies that I've given them a treat, but I don't have to worry about messing anything up.

Is this really a thread about a pedicure or is it some sort of cryptic thread?? I find @stuyvesant reply very odd. Am I missing something here @Twins Mom?

Going out for ice cream also not on my winter activity list. On these cold days I miss my mall even more!

I get a pedicure every six weeks year round. I also live in CO and just went and got one yesterday. It was eleven degrees with eight inches of snow and it was still coming down. What I did was set under the dryer for three rounds. Then I put on my socks and snow boots. I went grocery shopping after that and when I got home my toes were in perfect condition. I wear flip flops normally when I get a pedicure unless the weather is just to bad. My pedicurist said if I did three times under the dryer it would be fine and it was.

I think she was just saying that she wore flip flops to get a pedicure and since it is Winter and cold it wasn't a good thing to wear flip flops.

i get pedicures every four to five weeks in colder weather......every three to four weeks in warmer weather. i never put socks on right afterwards and i sit under the dryer for at least half an hour. no matter how cold it is i am wearing flip flops. i spend too much money to have it ruined the first day! you would be amazed how many people look at your toes, especially during the summertime.

today would have been a good day to get one. it was 77 degrees here in the baltimore area today. crazy february weather!

DH and I get pedicures year round once a month. Yesterday we got them even though it’s cold here. No polish this time and have to admit my nails feel great.

While flip flops may not be great, I wear them and choose a day when it is not raining or messy outside. I change into them at the salon and run to the car afterwards and go straight home. This year I decided to give my nails a break and not have polish put on and just had the rest done. Was able to wear shoes and socks right away.

@Twins Mom Spray an oil on toes after Seche Vita or other dryers, then wrap toes in Saran Wrap. Pull socks over and put on shoes.

I lived in Chicago for many years and liked pedicures-no flip flops in Feb..

I guess I am out of touch...never had a manicure or a pedicure...I just trim my nails etc myself. Use one of those roller exfoliator on my feet...and moisturize. Do not want toxic polish etc on my nails....just go plain.

I don't live in a cold area of the country, and do get pedicures every 2-3 weeks, year round. Sometimes it seems very cold and I know I'll have to wear my flip flops afterwards. I just plan to jump into my car and go straight home afterwards.

I like to have at least 4 hours for the polish to fully dry before wearing socks or closed toed shoes...this is in addition to using the drying drops or the drying lights.

I get a pedicure every 4 weeks all year around.

When it's cold our or even snowing, I get my pedicure and go right home.

I use my Emjoi every other day and moisturize every day. I love looking at my feet!
