Starlink is intended to be a fast, affordable satellite internet provider. I love the idea because there is no way this immediate area will ever get reliable, fast internet service,particularly at a reasonable price. However, Musk's plan includes 12,000 satellites!<BR /><BR />There are already something like 1700+ active satellites and 2600+/- dead satellites in orbit.
