Driving while on a tablet?

I just heard the lady with Kristen say that the 8 inch tablet was a good size because you could hold it in one hand and drive with the other! That’s extremely dangerous and illegal in a lot of states.

It’s not something QVC should condone.

Haha. I didn't catch that. I'm watching, but multitasking. No, it's not a good idea to hold your tablet while you drive.

I was half listening. I asked my husband if that’s what she said, but he didn’t hear it. I rewound it and sure enough that’s what she said.

what human would believe this no matter where they heard it?

but officer......the sales person on a shopping channel told me this so i can't be held accountable for knowing laws.

Kids are eating Tide pods why not drive with your tablet too!!! There will be a lot of people doing that. I wouldn't be surprised a bit.

If she gets a ticket ... huge fine in California ... then she can explain how to drive responsibly and treat the tablet like a cell phone and not use it while driving. Hopefully there will be no accidents due to this irresponsible comment on air.

Was she talking about using it for directions or as a GPS? You shouldn't be holding it while driving though.

Didn't see it, haven't watched the video. What did the host say in response to the caller? If she didn't say don't buy it for that reason, she/he is just as stupid.

It was the vendor. If you watch the video, it's near the end of the presentation. The host didn't even react to what the vendor said. She just continued on so maybe she wasn't fully listening - she may have been thinking about wrapping up the presentation.

*sigh* Wow. I cannot imagine saying something like that. I could never be in sales because you just have to be so disingenuous to sell some of the things they sell.

But that this vendor said that is just mind-blowing. That's irresponsible, to say the least.

Didn't see or hear this. Will say that driving any motor vehicle on public roads requires 100% focus by the individual holding the steering wheel. Any distraction can and does cause many deaths and changes lives forever. Unfortunately, much of the time the victims are the ones that suffer, not the perpetrator.
