ROADS CLEAR...BUSTING OUT!

I was at the gym at 6 and home, showered, and making my list where to go next.

DH and I are headed for a bagels & lox breakfast while waiting for stores to open. After a quick stop at the grocery store (drop him and food off at home), it’s off to the mall.

Unfortunately, I really don’t need shoes or clothes...winter things picked through and a good selection for spring not out for a few months. Sephora and ULTA are on the list...just looking since I spent my time cooped in clearing out and tossing makeup. Love to see if anything new, though.

My face has had a 4 day rest from makeup, so this will be a fun way to start the start the day...Real clothes and out of my sweats. Yay!

I have a 2PM massage appointment and reservations for a steak dinner (baked potato loaded, of course).

Wow! Good thing I don’t live in an area where there’s a lot of snow all winter. Lol 😂

Go for it, sista' When I lived in Ind. I'd be cooped up and couldn't drop a dime and I got as wiry as a slinky. Just something in we women if we're not shopping we go bat crazy. LOL

My husband from this day forward could go without spending a nickel and be happy as a lark.

I turn on QVC and hit 1-800............... LOL

Then I'd run to Burger King and get my crispy chicken sandwich.

Tx. now, still calling 1-800........but, able to get out lot better

I found great purchases while out: 1/2 price cashmere sweater (navy w/ white lg. white polka dots), 2 MAC lipsticks, an IT nude lip pencil, 6 pr. panties, snagged a flannel nightshirt on sale (of course, it’ll be 65 today 😰), 2 pr. of colorful, funky argyle socks, and Urban Decay Naked matte shadow palette.

Disappointed to see no Lauren by Ralph Lauren in my dept. stores....just Lauren Sport (jeans, tees, every day sweaters). None of the Lauren linen shirts and I loved & Lauren tailored pieces that were my “go tos”.

Spring shoes look just like last year’s and the spring before that....gladiator sandals (laces or zippers) w/ wedge heels or small stack heel, ballet flats, etc. Certainly will not be purchasing same things again & again.

Oh, great chicken Caesar salad at Nordstrom Cafe. Just had to break to break for lunch. Needed to sit, hungry and ck. my list of needs (?) on my cell. Did you know their CS would store your shopping bags while you eat?

Checked out Banana Republic, J. Crew and Ann Taylor. Nothing great yet...still seeing prints, colors that are just not good for me. Tops are still long and oversized. Is it me or fabrics seem really inexpensive, clothing poorly made (threads hanging loose, interior seams not finished well, etc. I tried on 3 pr. of size 2 jeans (same style #) at Madewell and both fit entirely differently. My guess is made by various manufacturers, each cutting patterns slightly “off”...annoying! That means can’t just purchase 2 of anything (different colors, fabrics) without trying each on.

Arrived home for quick shower before massage, nap and then dress for a steak dinner. I was starving again. Thank God for a very fast metabolism....and DID do an hour at the gym early morning.

Shopping always makes me hungry. I walk briskly, have to try on a lot before purchasing, and cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. There are younger friends that can’t keep up and end up waiting along the mall benches for me to wave them on during my sprint on the way back through to the car. 😏

@RedTop. I could catch the flu at grocery store, movies or just picking up my cleaning. Not planning to stay home until May.

......Oh. Stopped at art gallery first to pick up check they were holding for a wide silver, engraved cuff that sold. A customer interested in the another one they have. When that one sold, I would have broken even on my shopping trip!

All in all, a profitable day.

@Shanus- I understand completely. We were at home for 2 1/2 days last week because of the snow, ice and cold temperatures.

Friday, when it was all clear to break out of confinement, I was positively giddy. Had a whole list of errands for us to run and we had lunch out.

I absolutely love our house and enjoy being home when it’s my choice, but I don’t like feeling confined. I get bored being home after awhile.

I actually chuckled out loud when I wrote my comment, as I am one of those people who can stay home FOREVER and never be bored. Since I retired, I go only when I absolutely have to, and have stayed home more than 50 days straight during the winter months in the last few years. I love retirement!

I am glad you enjoyed your outing.
