OH CWAP MORE SNOW

NC bracing for more snow on Wednesday! Not believing this.

All set, though. Have my fixings for s’mores, ordered a pizza to freeze, stocked up on my milk, bread, eggs, bags of ice, batteries, gallons of water, too.

Not believing this winter and only mid-January!

Here in Tulsa it's getting down to 7 overnight and schools are out tomorrow. My daughter is in Houston and they are bracing for weather tomorrow. Schools are out there tomorrow too. DH and I went to the store today to stock up on supplies. Good thing we got additional movie channels today. Spring will come!!😨

The kids will be making up “snow days” until the end of June! I don’t think down South they plan for this many in the school calendar.

We had a cold front arrive late this afternoon. Got very windy and temp dropped like a rock. Of course there was no moisture here. Icy roads near Las Vegas, NM, NE of Santa Fe, caused a wreck with a bunch of vehicles including 18-wheelers and 2 deaths reported. Maybe this is what's coming your way @Shanus. Wind chills in ABQ in single digits tomorrow morning.

Expecting the snow is one thing experiencing it is another. I’m am so tired of it. Up at 4 this morning to clear it before work because another clipper coming thru while I’m at work. Weather person said we are 6 inches above our normal. Yuck! I’m way to old for this. 😂😂😂❄️❄️❄️

@Kachina624 That sounds horrendous! Haven’t put away my long undies from last week, so am prepared for really cold temps. Morning lows are 17...makes it tough to get up & go to gym. I’m getting kinda lazy.

The weather will get better after tomorrow. They finally got the part to fix the heat/ defrosters in my car. Once they fix that tomorrow we will no longer have snow and freezing temps.

We’re bracing for something in North Georgia. And who knows what that will be. Either a dusting of snow, none at all or 2 inches. And then, tomorrow, really cold with wind chills of 5 above to 5 below zero.

Right now it’s 45 and sunny. It’s supposed to start here in a few hours, but it’s really nice out so far.

Light snow predicted, a watermain break and Fridays rain made our corner an ice rink, the town was out in force breaking up the ice and carting it away this moring

@OKPrincess...I don't know if you'll know the answer but I'm curious ...in places like OK and TX what happens to livestock by the thousands out in that cold and snow? Do they die ? Ranchers lose their "crop" for lack of a better term?

I’m enjoying the snow since it’s pretty hot here for many months. I doubt this storm will be anything major. The next day high is 48 so should be a brief passing.

Its nice to slow down and cozy up.

baltimore area is supposed to get a bit of snow after midnight tonight. probably not more than 2 inches. we can handle that easily. hope it will be pretty outside tomorrow morning. we are at 35 degrees right now which is almost balmy considering some of the temps we have had recently.

A healthy cow can tolerate the bitter cold temperatures as long as they are fed well. The herd will huddle together for warmth and protection from the elements.

@SilleeMee The lack of snow in the Rockies is alarming. The Wolf Creek Ski Area, which advertises it has "the most snow in Colorado" last week had a whopping 16". I was astounded when I saw that because by now they would normally have near to 200". They must have gotten a bit because now they have 20+". I heard the restaurants in Taos will serve water only on request. Theres an 85 to 90% chance this La Nina will continue. This could get very serious.

What you said is true! I was just down in Ouray a few weeks ago and I was shocked at how void of snow that area is now. The locals were saying it's been bad for business. One woman said she had to let go of a couple of her employees because there isn't enough people coming by. The Silverton ski resort has been closed...no snow. When I look at maps of SW Colorado and parts of N.M. , well frankly, most of both states are in a drought. Arizona and Utah are worse than we are. @Kachina624
