Found out something funny over the holidays

My niece has been married to her husband for about 10 or 11 years now I guess. I noticed on his facebook page that he was friends with a couple I know. We (my nieces husband & I) started discussing it on Christmas Eve and I said I had worked with the wife of the couple for several years. Then told him I was in their wedding which was probably around 20 yrs ago). Then he said "So was I. I was a ring bearer and my sister was a junior bridesmaid). Too funny!

Small world: when we bought our mountain place a few years ago, our neighbors came over and introduced themselves. Since DH had also grown up in their nearby hometown, it turned out that the gal's father ( deceased by then ) was a close buddy and had been in our wedding party.

The oddest sensation was how their youngest son sort of " adopted " DH as his best buddy ( 4 year-old and a 60+ year- old ). He shadowed DH around for years. DH said he felt like he was the granddad stepping in for his best friend.
