ANOTHER EMAIL SCAM!!!

Watching football and checking my emails. Be careful it looks like another scam is being circulated. This one is a fake one pretending to be from PAY PAL and the Header Reads - CONFIRMING CHANGE IN YOUR PAYPAL PASSWORD.

I placed the cursor to see where the email was generated from and it was not from Pay Pal at all... I didnt open the email but sent it to SPAM. I went directly to PAY PAL's website to see if my email had been changed, it had not, another confirmation that the email I received was a SCAM!!! So be on the alert for this scheme.....Never enable links or provide changes from an email, go directly to the website to update information and passwords! ......

Common sense.

Common sense would tell one that it was a scam, and not to click on links.

I get email scams all the time on my junk throwaway email address.

Another day, another scam email. I get them all the time, particularly on the email address I use for on-line shopping. Nothing to get excited about. The delete button is your friend.

Since I deal with Paypal almost daily and might not have even questioned that, thanks for the heads’s-up.

I've gotten this ****** in my Spam file for years. I NEVER EVER open anything like this. Ever.

I have a Pay Pal account and this one looked legit like a confirmation email you receive when you change your email. And with data breaches so common these days you never know when there's been a new one and now someone has access to your data and did hack your account and changed your password.......

Problem is a lot of people click links and what happens is that they enable a virus or get their info hacked and identity stolen............

Not everyone is as careful about their emails as they should be. So information like this calls attention to the risks involved if you open and give out information to these scammers.

@Spurt I get those phishing emails pretending they are Paypal, Amazon and now CVS...

I have learned to always keep my antennae on high alert and do as you do and hover the curser over the addy

If you get a spam email from an organization you don’t, or only rarely do business with, it’s easy to spot spam. I used to get emails about my B of A account - which I have never, ever possessed. Those were obvious and easy to toss. But when you get an email from a company you deal with frequently and it’s a reasonable request - you don’t always question it instantly.

I would never click on any links unless I am expecting an email with a link and go to directly to the legitimate website to check things out.

Paypal asks that you forward to them any spam emails saying it's from them. You don't have to open it to forward it.

I'm also getting a pop up from "Amazon" about winning a phone or gift card. I have to clear out of that website to get rid of it. Scam!

I get several of those "PayPal" emails throughout the year. I have called PP and checked accounts so make sure everything is OK.

PP did send me a email once about how to tell if the email you receive and question is real or not - maybe its posted on the PP site.

I never click on links anyway.

Scam or not it always seems to s c r e w up my device.

I close the email and go straight to the website.

Another one? Don't fool for yourself, there thousand upon thousands upon thousands of scams out there. They are out there trolling for naive people or greedy people or people who aren't paying attention and click on a link without even thinking. I don't verify that stuff or search for anything. No way would I have checked with Pay Pay to verify an email address when I already know that I didn't change my email with them. Why bother doing that?

This isn't new to me, been receiving this scam ****** for at least a yr now, it's very annoying! I simply delete it!
