Pink Martini anyone? 🍸

Last night DH and I went out, date night of sorts.

We went to dinner at a wonderful restaurant here in town. He had a beautiful filet mignon that was like butter and I had abalone. Ordered dessert and coffee. I took one bite just because I had to taste it, bananas foster creme brûlée. The dinner was outstanding.

After that we headed over to our local, vintage redone theater (Clint Eastwood was a major contributor to this getting done years ago), we are patrons of this theater. We had the best seats in the house. We are usually able to get them. For this concert it was front, center, loge. Front row orchestra would not be good for this because people get up and dance, right in front of those seats.

The concert was PINK MARTNI. OH MY! They were wonderful. A mash-up of Big band/Jazz/Global influence music.

DH bought two vinyl albums and I bought the t-shirt. We got them signed by the entire band and singer.

I got many compliments on my outfit (blushing) and DH got several on his tie. Fun! It was so nice to see so many people out dressed up for an event.

It was a fun night!

That’s sounds like a wonderful date. I’d sure like an evening like that.

My DH is not into theatre or resturants. He is more of the out doors type. A wonderful date for him would be fishing on the lake and if I wanted romantic, he’d turn on the flashlight.

My DH likes all that outdoor stuff too! I am lucky he likes the theater and many other things as well.

@Carmie...

Doesn't he cook the fish up for you and serve with a nice glass of wine, as you both gaze out upon the lake...snuggled together...with the flashlight casting a glow all around you!...lol

No, he catches fish and then he let’s them go. So romantic.

One time he ran out of gas while we were on the boat ( 24 ft pontoon) with a few people who were there as our guests. It was getting dark and we saw no other boats out there to call for help.

No one on the boat, but me could swim. So I jumped into the water and tired a rope on the front of the boat and swam and pulled it ashore. Thank goodness I didn’t have to pull it too far, maybe 40-50 feet.

My DH had to walk on the land on the edge of the lake for about two miles to get to our SUV. Then he had to go get gas and walk back to the boat. It was really dark and late when we got off of the lake that night.

His romantic flashlight came in handy. Luckily, that he had more than one on board because he needed one to walk with and the rest were on the boat casting a glow on the rest of us who were castaways for a few hours. Thank goodness we did have food and drink, but no fish.

Have been listening to Pink Martini for years. They are unique and excellent! If you listen to Pandora, plug in Pink Martini Radio and you will be pleasantly surprised at the other artists who are in a similar genre.

I’ve been a fan for years, nearly since their beginning
Have seen them perform many times. Absolutely love their Christmas CD!
They hail from Portland Oregon where I used to live.
Very talented, unique & exciting performers; glad you found them!
