      <title>How long will you spend on hold?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I made an online purchase at GameStop early Thanksgiving morning at 1:00.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That evening I checked my charge acct. and found out they duplicated my order.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On Friday, I spent 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold trying to clear this up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Never got my call answered. Saturday morning, I called right when they are opened and&amp;nbsp;got same message.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Called my local store. They won't help me because its an online purchase. They told me to keep trying.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Day Three of calling, today, Monday, called GameStop and received the same repeated message of high volume of calls and your wait time on hold will exceed 30 minutes.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I called local store again and tried to get an e-mail to them. No, I was told to keep trying on phone. I told the manager that &amp;nbsp;I cannot hold all day. Isn't over an hour long to hold? Told they are handling thousands of calls. Sure hire more help for the holidays.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Guess I will try facebook. &amp;nbsp;GameStop is a joke of a business.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I told the manager that this was my first purchase at this place and probably my last!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Depends on the importance of the call.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In your case, I would hold off a few days-- since it's a crazy time of the year for orders.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I still have a land line and will put my kitchen phone on speaker for instances like this.&amp;nbsp; That way I can still go about doing things like unloading the dishwasher or do laundry.&amp;nbsp; Our place is tiny so I can literally go into any room and still hear if they answer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck with that.&amp;nbsp; I just did a duplicate order (my fault!). &amp;nbsp; It's a crazy time of year for me.&lt;img id="womanvery-happy" class="emoticon emoticon-womanvery-happy" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_woman-very-happy.png" alt="Woman Very Happy" title="Woman Very Happy" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Wow - I don't know what to say. We ran across this last year, not with GameStop. What finally got the company to communicate with us, was to contest the credit card charge. We heard from the company in a hurry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you try to communicate by phone "they" have all the power. For work our company was opening a store in Philadelphia. I was to make sure the billing for the gas was set up under our company. I sat on hold for 4+ hours. And then when 4PM (I think that is when the City employees went home) I was cut off. I forgot how many days it took for me to set up our companies billing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I would never spend that much time on hold for anyone or anything.&amp;nbsp; Busy time of the year?&amp;nbsp; Yes, but that is NO excuse.&amp;nbsp; I would call my CC customer service and let them handle it and my next phone call would be to the Better Business Bureau (or online) and give them a crappy rating.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have no patience to sit on hold for more than a few minutes. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would call your credit card company and have them deal with it. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Going to their FB page is very effective in getting things handled.&amp;nbsp; I've done that a few times now and I've had results within the hour.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Yes, it was horrible. Because the company had a set deadline with employees, food vendors and printed advertising to get the restaurant open on a certain date. And not getting the gas set up really had "The Boss Man" and everyone down the line literally standing over me in a panic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope you get through.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, your issue occurred at the absolute busiest time of year for retailers....especially electronics. &amp;nbsp;I'd give it a day or two more to try and reach them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As to how long I'd wait? &amp;nbsp;For me, it depends on the need for the call. &amp;nbsp;If it's something really serious, I'll wait, probably up to 30-45 minutes. &amp;nbsp;If it's something less serious, I'd probably wait up to about 20 minutes. &amp;nbsp;I know some places give you an approximate wait time. &amp;nbsp;I wish they all did that.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;For something like this, I will hold as long as it takes.&amp;nbsp; I will take advantage of my speaker phone and do other things while I wait.&amp;nbsp; Generally (there are exceptions) the wait turns out to be less than expected because other callers ahead of you will get tired of waiting and hang up, bumping you up in the que.&amp;nbsp; And, all the while I am waiting I am reminding myself never to do business with them if at all possible!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Please let your credit card company handle it.&amp;nbsp; You are just frustrating yourself and the store.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Your credit card bank will not accept the refund if it does not come from the same place it was charged which was online.&amp;nbsp; That's why the local store can not help you even if they wanted to.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I say this as someone who's been overwhelmed at times by people trying to get us to refund a double charge over the phone.&amp;nbsp; We can't do it.&amp;nbsp; It's usually reported to the higher ups to complete because of the sensitivity of the information and the multiple security encryptions these days.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Plus I am sure if your order was duplicated which is usually computer error so were a lot of others.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The credit card company can reverse the charge off of your account in two seconds (you can usually do it online yourself) and then they will send the refund back to the merchant to recharge if they think it was legitimate and can prove it with your signature.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bear in mind it will take about 2-3 days to see the second charge drop off your pending activity once the charge is disputed.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just had QVC double charge me, they fixed it right away, but I had to wait 3-5 business days for the second charge to fall off, ridiculous, from now on I call my bank!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/248595"&gt;@Bri36&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;This last mistake&amp;nbsp;took 4 business days, which IMO is ridiculous, it is their mistake why do we have to wait so long.&amp;nbsp; BEWARE, I recently had the Q change the method of payment on me because I had other cards on file never imformed me, no more, QVC had made far too many mistakes on my credit cards, and it has just been excuse after excuse.&amp;nbsp; And apologies no longer cut it, when the same things keep happening over and over!&amp;nbsp; And I am so tired of hearing the hosts babble on and on about FREE exchanges, how many times have we read that it does not work, people are constantly being charged the $6.95 return fee!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
