Yes I just heard a snippet on Bret Baier's show about Charlie Rose, but missed most of it while typing about the first Thanksgiving!

I'm astonished about the crude "overtness" I guess you'd call it, of Charlie Rose's alleged actions. Good grief.

I would have never thought he would be like that, i think about all the things i have heard men speak of ,when it is about girls,women and women talk about how some men act ,when away from their wives,it just shocks me.

That did surprise me, perhaps it shouldn't have. I think it just goes to show us that this problem is bigger than we could ever have imagined and it's it's an institutional and societal problem. It seems particularly pervasive in the entertainment world.

Maybe everybody…figuratively speaking...has done or does it. Is the shock value gone yet? I was a little surprised when I read the Post article about Charlie Rose...but mostly think “another day, another harasser.”

It's everywhere. The entertainment world (and political, as we have seen) just make the news.

Excuse me here but it seems everyone that worked around the old creep knew what was going on and DID NOTHING about it. There is a LOT of blame here to pass around.

He pranced around some woman nude and she kept working for him? REALLY?

Sorry, but you are talking about the moral code at a whole work place here, not just the behavior of one man. If you see a child abused and don't do anything about it, you are guilty.

I think we need to examine the behavior and standards of an awful lot of people. A LOT of people knew this stuff was going in many instances and accepted it as a fact.

Also, we are convicting people from accusations. You can accuse a lot of people of a lot of things and ruin their lives.

Not taking up for the abusers here, but I am saying there is a far larger problem in this country than these named men. The problem is that WE as a group have allowed them to do it, and often individuals have benefitted from the behavior, and they should be called out too.

So what are the standards? Who is responsible for behvaior between individuals and in the workplace? I think that is the REAL conversation here, and we aren't talking about that so much or at least I haven't seen it. But I don't watch that much tv so maybe it is me.

The crime is that we have allowed it.

I would say the only people responsible are those who assaulted others.

The only other people I would blame are the women who never believe other women and who insult them, call them names and blame them.

Don't be surprised.

This is long from over. Many are realizing that anywhere there is unchecked power, there will be an abuse of power.

The human ego is the worst adviser. Adulation leads to hubris and once a person is placed on a pedestal, he/she has in many ways consent to do anything. They are surrounded by enablers who cater to every whim they may have.

I have never really followed or adored celebrities or people. I admire their actions when they deserve praise but I'm careful not to fall into adulation. I always remember they're still only people and regardless of their reputation, they are imperfect beings.

W all have a facade.
