They're selling one company. That's not how I'd buy Medigap Insurance. And, I wouldn't go to a "free luncheon" featuring a salesman either.

Every state has "SHIP Counselors". These are people who are trained to help you find Medigap and Medicare Part D policies that suit your needs. They have no axe to grind and no product to sell. You can find one by doing a search on-line or calling your local government office.

Wow! I just switched over to see what you were talking about and am amazed that they are doing this. There are many people who will buy into it I'll bet. So many people believe everything they hear on shopping channels.

There is only a phone number for Aetna you can call to get more information, you're not buying a policy from HSN. Nothing wrong with calling & doing all your research before signing up with any insurer for Medicare coverage. HSN in just providing a service for their customers, it's not a plot to scam them.

HSN did that last year too. Makes sense to me. Shopping channels go into a lot of homes and people are more likely to look at an HSN show than read junk mail.
