Do You Worry About Posters?

I do.

For example, I worry about halfpint.

She seems to be declining, and I worry about her living alone.

It must be hard on her son.

Also, there is a poster whose name escapes me at the moment, who was terribly ill, who put herself on hospice.

I think @Moonchild is in contact with her and her family.

I worry about how she is doing.

Do you worry about posters here?

I worry about posters who have been awol for a time. I am afraid they might be ill, or having problems

I was touched to find out people were concerned about me ,when I was accidently banned

@Plaid Pants2 I definitely do, when I notice a poster that has not posted in a while, I get worried, I have made such a connection with some posters, I am grateful to have so many of you as a part of my life, grateful every day!

When I hear about people being ill and having a difficult time I do of course. I hope they are well.

When I see a post that does not make any sense and the OP hasn’t returned to clarify, that is worrisome as well. Are they okay?

@Plaid Pants2-----I would have to say that, in my case, "worry" may be too strong a word. There are posters ,that have disappeared, that I may occasionally wonder about..... The sad news of a poster may illicit a human response but I tend to view death and dying a little differently than the average...Sometimes a poster will be living with realities that I could very easily help with but that doesn't seem possible on these threads. But, "worry" ? No.

I have sometimes wondered if a poster died when they disappear. I used to play an online game where a player always had an elaborate decorated set up, but it was left a total most mash one day, as if she was interrupted and stopped in the middle. Her, I was afraid she had suddenly died, because it was so unlike her and it was never fixed. We just will never know on some.

Yes, I do and just this a.m. while putting on my make-up I thought I had not seen any posts from Hoosier lately. I looked briefly earlier today in some of her other forums but did not see her nic. The last I saw of her she was redoing her laundry room and other assorted remodeling projects. I think about so many posters and at so many odd times during my day.

@halfpint1posts regularly on certain forums. you can always keep up with her on those threads.

i do worry when i hear that someone is struggling or having a difficult time due to money, family, or health issues. i do appreciate when they are around and give an update or even just say they are doing okay.

i dont necessarily worry about those who stop posting for periods of time. i just figure that they are tired of the boards and are taking a break. in that case i may "miss them."

I don't think they do anything when someone is gone. Brave @gloriajean kept asking them why I was banned ,and she was told to mind her own business .

Someone finally paid attention, and looked into it. I got an email from the Social team telling me it was an accident ,and saying they hoped I would come back ,and join everyone once again

I was glad to be among my friends again. I missed everyone

I have chosen to take a break from posting here a couple of times through the years. Never posted about it, just stopped on a whim. So I guess i don't "worry" because they just may be taking a break.

There are many posters I think about when they suddenly stop posting. I remember Brabis and her courage and I will always think of Cardinal Girl ...especially around the holidays. Speedy was another poster who sadly passed. She loved life and I miss her contributions here.

There are quite a few people who post here that I admire. Their strength during adversity has often helped me during a very rough year. It's uplifting...

During all that time/speculation someone posted you had decided to just go to HSN forum's. I looked briefly for a "Cherry" but none without extra characters to the nic. They certainly did not remind me of your style of posts. So glad mistake was found and all fixed up @cherry.

I don't know how they got that idea? I don't post at HSN. I tried it once.years ago ,and didn't like it at all

It has a different atmosphere than here. It isn't for me

Yes, absolutely. Because when someone is ill and we haven't seen them in awhile, I do get concerned.
