The first of November, a "friend" asked me to have a nice dinner out with her on Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. I agreed. I turned down a subsequent invitation to Thanksgiving from another friend because of the vague plans I had made with the first "friend". Two days before Thanksgiving, the "friend" called and told me she was going to work on Thanksgiving. Okay. Whatever. I understand that she would want to take advantage of the holiday pay she'd be making.

Today she tells me that she's going to her daughter's house (out of town) for the week of Christmas. The daughter is coming to get her the weekend before Christmas and bringing her back the weekend after Christmas.

I'm a doormat.

The next time she asks me to make plans for a holiday, I'm going to say, "Oh, no, because you ditched me not once but twice when you instigated plans previously." I'll probably never hear from her again after that.

That's all.
