topic COOKING FOR ONE PERSON.... in Community Chat

I used to a big family. A husband and two always hungry boys. Boys are now grown and I'm now a widow. I find it difficult to cook for just myself. I either make too much and freeze it where it rarely is eaten and later tossed, or I just open a can of soup and make a salad. Do you think it's cheaper to eat out? Any suggestions. Thank you.
