Just a heads up...there is a bank of america fake email going around threatening to close your account if you don't take action. It appears to be a fake security alert so be careful and don't click on any links.

We got a fake "your payment is due on acct #____"

today. This is an account that has been closed and a fraud alert issued for it.

This is why I have more than 1 email account!

I have one I use for business only.

When I get an email from a company at the other one, I know it is spam immediately!

I got one yesterday from "PayPal" and it said my card was used to buy a GoPro and it had a link to "dispute the charge." The first thing I always do is check my bank account then trash the email.

The first clue that's it's not legit is they can't even type proper English. It started out with "Hi, dear" Like paypal is gonna address me like that! 🙄

PayPal addresses every customer letter by your first and last name, if both are not on there, that is a sign it is not legit.

It's safe to assume all these emails are fake; you go to the website that supposedly sent you the email to validate if the info is accurate. 99.9% of the time it's not!

I never respond to any bank or company on-line (even if I do business with them). They'll mail u a letter --- not post on-line. If ur not sure, call their phone # and ask (don't call any phone # in a post)..

Lots of these going around. I get them for Bank of America, Chase, Amazon, etc. Mortgage used to be with Chase but BofA, never had anything with them.

I just got one yesterday from PayPal... showing an order that I had placed for $59.00 which I never had and I knew nothing of the company I supposed to have purchased from.... They wanted me to click on to such and such. I went to Pay Pal and logged in and saw no such purchase on my order list... I knew it was a scam. junked it.

We had a message on our phone from BOA that we had suspicious activity on our account.They said to call the number on back of card or the number they left on the message.We called the number on the card to find out what the problem was.

I got a fake one from AT&T, asking me to update my account information. Like they are supplying me my DirecTV with bad info.
