POSTING GOOD THOUGHTS AND WISHES

I know there are many of us in the path of Hurricane IRMA, but I wanted to especially offer prayers and good thoughts and wishes to our fellow Americans in Florida. We are here praying for you and hoping for the best.....stay strong Florida, we love you.

Please post your good thoughts here. They will make a big difference to send positive vibes their way. Thank you.

Every day when I post on Mr. Lucky's thread, I start the day with a GOD BLESS AMERICA.....then add something special for the storm folks......this is so important.

Please be safe, and be strong. HE will see you all through it.....

I know several folks that live in Florida, and haven't heard from them yet. One was my maid of honor in my first wedding back in 1961. We were together here last year (1 year today) celebrating their 50th anniversary. They invited a few of us for the celebration.....and fortunately we were able to get together a few times while they were here.

As Shell said, please do keep us updated on what is going on where you live.......

Like others, my heart is heavy with concern for my compatriots (and visitors to our country, too) who are now in harm's way. It is heartbreaking to know what they might suffer through in the next days/weeks/months. What is immediate, though, is the heaviest concern.

May protective angels envelop all who are in the path of Irma.

Yes, I think all of us want to hear how everyone is doing if they can continue to post. My heart aches and we will see them and Texas through all this.

@Plaid Pants2...this is so beautiful what you posted. How can all of us not feel blessed and safe with loving thoughts as this?

We were at a concert last night and actually felt guilty that we were safe and enjoying the evening. Between Harvey and now Irma the feeling of helplessness can be overwhelming. Sometimes I've just cried.

@shell garden Thank you-they did dedicate a song to Houston, of course being in Texas. That just set off another round for me. Plus we also never know what will happen since one of us is not well. Not me.

So you are right-whether dealing with family illness or watching the folks in all of these disasters-Harvey, Irma, the islands, earthquake in Mexico-I have to remember our time last night was for us-another memory.

And BIllie Joe Arrmstrong last night made it very clear that we may be all from different backgrounds but last night we were all one-all the same.

Many, many prayers for comfort for all.

@Cakers3....I bet that concert was fun. Billy Joe Armstrong in saying we are all Americans is so right on. We may feel helpless right now, but prayers and good thoughts mean alot. We can donate whatever we may be able to and that will go a long way. ((HUGS))
