We have had Persian cats since we got married...44 years ago. Totally, 7 in all. 2 years ago I was looking to add a second cat to the female Persian we had. The grooming chores were getting me down, so I decided to find a short hair cat, and met a breeder of British Blues who had a litter of 4 available.

It was love at first sight and this boy really runs the show. I am amazed daily at how smart he is. He has several tricks he will do and collects items that he puts under a particular chair or takes from room to room and hides in DH's shoes.

We also have a 1 year old Exotic Shorthair female who is like his "groupie" and follows him everywhere. He will head-butt her to get her to clean his face and ears. The Persian won't give either of the other 2 the time of day.

I guess after all the Persians we have had we are surprised at how smart he is. Persians are very sweet and loving Kitties, but not the sharpest knives in the drawer. They just behave beautifully and decorate the furniture. This BB boy is like having 6 cats!

One of my friends was so enamoured of him that she called the breeder and bought his twin brother. Any other BB lovers?
