SHUTTERS ARE UP - PLEASE PRAY FOR US

Still lots to do, but I will survive this storm. I am in the path of IRMA and am scared out of my wits, but I will get through this. I believe in miracles and I saw angel wings in the sky and a butterfly visited today. Last year when it was Matthew I found a feather when I put up my shutters. I have many angels watching out for me, but your prayers for those of us who have to face this head on can really use your prayers.

I'm in the metro DC area and have my local news on the TV right now. They are at a rest stop in northern Virginia where they are seeing a lot Florida license plates. Good move for people to head north, hopefully out of harm's way.

I am in Florida also. Ihave never seen such panic and I lived here for 14 years. no gas and no food anywhere.

My long time next door neighbors bought a house in Jensen Beach (inner coastal area of FL) and have been living there for a couple years. They did not sell their condo yet (next door to me here in NE Ohio). I got a message from her I-phone at noon today saying they are on their way back here (+ their two cats). They will stay in their condo and their renter is graciously moving in with her son while they are here. I'm so afraid they will lose their home, right there on the east coast of FL.

@2blonde I used to live in St Lucie county and that was a great call. Someone else said they had friends that were actually staying on Jupiter Island. They are nuts!

I'll certainly continue to pray for everyone in the path of these storms, everyone who has been or will be affected. I do feel so helpless, and wish I could offer hands-on aid and comfort. My heart goes out to everyone. May you all be safe, and may we all find a way to be supportive, nonjudgmental, and kind. ❤️

There is major devastation in St. Maarten and parts of Puerto Rico. People on these islands have no where to go unless they fly out. There is another Hurricane behind Irma. OMG! Please stay safe.

You have done the safest thing by shuttering your home and travelling to a shelter. Hoping damage is minimal and that you and loved ones can return home soon.

@golding76 - people think I'm nuts when I pick up the little white feathers or always see the butterflies. But yesterday evening when I was running to the store, literally there was a full on angel with 2 wings right in front of me. I wanted a picture so bad but I was driving. The feather I found last year I still have it with me. There are also 3 in my car that have shown up at my feet when I needed them.

nycgrl, I have learned to tell only those I think will understand. Fortunately, some people are attuned to these messages from the angels (or whatever you wish to call the mysterious agent) or we'd feel so alone.

Really, I've had some "strange" things happen to me, and I now understand why there are some who say they have never had a sign from a loved one who has passed. My opinion is that they have had a sign, but the mind of the bereaved person is not yet open to receiving such signs. The signs are there, as you and I agree.

I first became aware of the butterfly messenger immediately after my father passed (when I was in my 30s). Before then, I'd never been aware of anything of that nature. He died in May, and suddenly there would always be a butterly around me, coming close and pretty much making its presence known. This went on for days with intensity right after he died and continues -- in a lighter fashion but when I need support -- to this day.

Other, odder things, have occurred, and I know there are other forces out there trying to communicate. Some might scoff at these thoughts, and that is their right. I only know my own experiences and what they have meant to me.

Nice to have another "experiencer" along for this magical ride called life.
