This picture really touched me, the two side by side. Yesterday William, Harry, and Kate attended a ceremony honoring Diana in the White Garden dedicated to her. On the grounds of Kensington Palace. RIP Diana.

I can't believe it's been 20 years. They've grown into such nice young men.

I can't imagine having to do that in the public eye. I'm sure they're used to it; but it just strikes me as such a hard thing to do.

It was the night of my 20 year HS reunion. DH, my HS best GF and me in the car, chit-chatting having a great time.

Mom was babysitting... we come in the house, laughing and talking ... she says "didn't you hear? Princess Diana died"

I stayed up all night watching the coverage. I got up to watch her wedding. She was my Princess.

I'm still sad about it.

What does everyone think of Kate? She doesn't have Diana's massive amounts of magnetism, but she seems to be happy in her marriage and with the royal family. Diana changed everything as far as how they functioned, it seems to me. They saw how she connected with people and followed suit, at least a bit. Kate doesn't seem like a change agent, but I'm sure they're happy to have her calmness after all the upheaval from the iconoclast Diana. I've read many times that Diana's blood was perhaps more aristocratic than some in the royal family.

RIP, Princess Diana. Her sons and daughter-in-law are a wonderful tribute to Diana, a very brave young woman. ............. Btw and off topic: Love Kate's dress. Would love to see similar styles available in stores.

@ROMARY Kate's dress is Prada, over two thousand dollars. The print has poppies in it, for remembrance. A lovely touch.
