Powerball Winner

Well I live in the Small Town in Western MA that has the Powerball WINNER from last night's BIGGEST Powerball ever!! Media Trucks from all TV stations surrounding the Store. I guess they are waiting for the "Middle Aged" Lady they think is the winner to show up!!!! I am sure she is talking to a Lawyer before showing up. Biggest thing that has happened here in a Long time or MAYBE EVER!!

If I were the winner it would be a while before I came forward. I would get a lawyer and a Financial Advisor first and foremost...Once you come forward you will be bombarded like crazy, and every one will want a piece of you.I can just imagine how crazy it would be.......

Everybody thinks it would be so great to win big like that but it would change your life forever - and not really in a good way! So many have said they are now unhappy after a big win and have lost their privacy. I say no thanks - not for me. I am happy with my life as it is! Maybe a win of about 50,000 would be nice but there would be too many negatives in such a huge win!!1

People that you thought that you could trust, and were close to, family and friends, change when you won't share with them.

And I'm not talking about a one-time sharing, I mean constantly giving them money every time that they ask for it.

They also can resent you for having won.

I agree....we are such private people I would hate for everyone to know who we are...I wonder if you can have anonymity or do you have to come out to the world? I thought I read that's part of winning the lottery your name is made public. Ahhh, but all that loot...pretty amazing!!

The winner must get a trust set up first. Then she can have the Trustee do the ceremoniously acceptance of the winnings. MA Lottery requires the winner to come forward and have a photo taken but with a Trust the Trustee can appear.

That winner is a fool. She's probably still in shock and didn't have time to think. She should have contacted an attorney immediately and set up a trust and had the attorney claim the jackpot on behalf of the trust. Even with the rules, you can remain relatively anonymous through the entire process. No way would I want all the fanfare, interviews, and TV appearances associated with coming forward publicly. It has ruined many lives. She is going to be unmercilessly hounded not only by friends and family, but by every Tom, Diick and Harry all over the world.

I hope she has time to take a deep breath and get some sound advice before it's too late. I wish her the very best of luck.

well, she's one lucky fool! dang I had 20 tickets and not ONE number. i can say for myself, i would be so flipping happy. I got a strong family, lots of good friends, good health, so cashflow could only add to my good life!!! i would be quietly generous and would remain anonymous if allowed in my state. i could finally get my inground pool in the backyard - and then some!

Maybe she already does have an attorney & a financial advisor

even before winning. Neither are unicorn professions.

I have both...who I could call upon at a moment's notice.

But...it is interesting that lotto winners historically begin to have

difficulty in their life after winning. After watching her press

conference, I'm sure most of the money buy lots&lots of chewing gum.
