I am watching some of this touching memorial service to this young woman who was murdered in Charlottesville over the weekend. Very touching.

I wonder often if we could see the future, would we make different choices.

If she knew how things would go that day, would she still have thought it a good idea to participate.

You know, I think this young woman went into that challenging day knowing somewhere in the back of her mind that something could happen to her. Perhaps not death, but maybe even allowing for that as all of us do in a strange manner but not really "allowing" the reality to hit us. We just acknowledge fleetingly that it could happen.

I believe Heather Heyer knowingly made a brave choice. She walked the talk.

Some people feel a cause may be worth it whatever the pot...

I watched Heather's memorial and listened to her amazing mother -- strong, warm, plain spoken, brilliant, poignant, even funny. Tears ran down my face before I realized I was crying the entire time.

Remarkable women. RIP Heather.

She put her life in danger. You are telling me this was going to be peaceful? She isn't a hero in my book. There are other ways to get your point across.
