What did you accomplish this week?

I FINALLY got my laundry room done. Such a joy to walk in there now. Got all of that stupid wallpaper off - this was the worst room by far. It took me a couple of months with my break when I was dehydrated. But this week got back on track and it is beautiful. Painted it a charcoal grey and have white and turquoise accents. The old water heater is in there so I'm going to get a screen to block that off. Made matching curtain and skirt for my folding table. Put up a white shelf and got a small turquoise crate for the shelf. Repainted the cabinets a bright white and painted the wall between it and folding table turquoise. Going to order an antique looking turquoise laundry cart next month for the room. Spent enough money this month on that room. Did you have a big accomplishment this week?

I had a week off of work! I shampooed carpets & the runners.

tomorrow back to work + mandatory 5 hours overtime per week (since Jan). blech!

I have a few jobs I want to tackle, but they are on the back burner for now. Work has been really busy and I don't see that settling down for a couple months. I don't miss the days of removing wallpaper. It's a back breaking job. Of course, it looks great when it's done.

I honestly don't know that I accomplished anything noteworthy last week. If I did, I can't remember it.

@hoosieroriginal, you deserve a medal for taking off the wallpaper. Good for you! I bet it was hard work in a small space. I would love to see pics of your transformation! Post when you can pls! LM

Nothing out of the norm but house is cleaned and laundry is put away. I did some trimming outside while DH mowed the grass.

Contractors completely finished my kitchen renovation. I unpacked my entire kitchen and put everything back in its new place. Also gave a dinnerware and glassware set to Goodwill.

Picked out tiles and stone ledger last Monday. I've never had a big project before...we're putting in a pool. Just want to make right color choices. Now just have to wait and see how it all comes together.

I brought my 2000 venture van to the dealer and told them to fix anything that needed replacing or fixing.... that final bill was for $4600 😳. I also found a free treadmill on the next door neighbor web sight.... and found someone who for a fee of $ 95 would pick the treadmill up and bring it into my home.

So I have a car that runs great, and a new treadmill. Pretty good week👍🤗

@SeaMaiden - Yes, people who have a treadmill to get rid of will do about anything to get rid of them. Great that you found someone to deliver it to you - enjoy it! Also glad you got your van fixed - sometimes it's expensive, but a lot better than making car payments - right?

When I moved into my new home I got rid of anything and everything I didn't need or used but I noticed last week that the two nightstand tables and the entertainment table had gotten full of junk and today I threw everything out and moved everything to its place

I made great progress on consolidating and organizing my genealogy paperwork, as well as entered a lot of data on my different family trees.

The highlight of my week was finding a letter written by my great great aunt mentioning her visit to her sons grave. She mentioned enough details that allowed me to find her son and DIL's grave listing, with pictures on the Find-a-Grave website! That crossed one long time nagging question off my Find It Out list. I'm still smiling about it!

Wow @hoosieroriginal. I'm so jealous! I have wanted to fix up my laundry room for years. I can barely turn around in mine. I have toys, appliances, small appliances, gardening supplies - you name it. And no place to organize them. Your's sounds amazing! This week I booked my boss and his family on a Quebec and Toronto vacation for the end of August, hatched 5 Eastern Swallowtail butterflies, and found more ways to use up 10 lbs. of zucchini.

@PA Mom-mom - FYI - I posted pictures - it took a couple of months because the wallpaper was so darned hard to get off. It was well worth it though. I keep walking back and looking at it.
