Do men really get nervous when seeing someone they might like?

Hi, could you post your opinions? I saw a man walk into some bushes after glancing at this lady. He did everything to avoid looking back until she walked past him. It is not something that one would usually do. If someone doesn't like another person then the common thing is to just act as if nothing happened. What do you think? It was kind of cute and funny.

OP, do you mean he "hid" in the bushes, or walked into them meaning he bumped into them since he wasn't paying attention?

I don't see anything cute or funny at all.

The man had an issue-be it on a personal level with this woman or just an issue with women in general.....it's odd behavior.

Does it mean he has the potential to be dangerous? Perhaps.

Does it mean he has an issue looking at women directly? Perhaps.

Does it mean he may have been stalking her previously? Perhaps.

A lot of scenarios could be posted about this, but cute and funny is not on my list.

LOL I need to clarify. The bushes are short on an island that has small trees. People were walking on a walkway. He did not hide as in a scary movie. He just tried to get out of the way. I think he got nervous.

He didn't bump them. He tried to move out of the way and could have done by moving to the side of the walkway but he kept going and stood there with his back towards her then he moved when she passed.

@Lilith1 So was he IN the bushes or not? This whole story takes on different meanings depending upon what he actually did or didn't do.

Could be anything. May-be an acquaintance who he didn't want to see him in order avoid a conversation.

@JobGirlBecause the OP said he "walked into the bushes" without clarifying if he bumped them or entered them. Since he wouldn't look back until the woman had passed, it is quite logical to think he hid in the bushes without more clarification.

A man walks into the bushes...........sounds like the beginning of a bad joke.

A similar thing happened when I first met DH. He was coming over to a table where I was sitting with some friends to ask me to dance with him. He stumbled a bit on a chair leg. I guess he was so focused on me. That was over 54 years ago. He's still focused, but avoids chair legs.

To answer your guess, men and women may get nervous seeing someone they like.

However, the OP's story as it was related here doesn't make sense.

I'm wondering why the OP thought this man liked this woman.
