Sky weird color

Just had a very heavy rainstorm go through. Now the sky is a lemon yellow/orange color (probably from sunset) - looks very strange, but very pretty. Casting a weird hue on everything. South is still very dark after storms passed through. Wet at bottom of my basement stairs - rain came down in buckets! Had a small lake in my front yard. I think these are the storms that were up in Michigan earlier. Has cooled things down tremendously - temps dropped 20 degrees from 86 to 66.

@SharkE Have you had some heavy storms this past week? Several times the weather radar in Amarillo looked like you were getting whamed. Our local meteorologists tongues would fall out before they'd mention the T word (Texas). Funny how all the weather stops at the state line.

Nope, I wish, rain is always welcomed.

Back on the 3rd, 4th and maybe the 5th we'd get a late night booming wind and some rain just enough , long enough to postpone the idiots and their fireworks, then, when it was over they would come back out and gear up again. LOL

I made the mistake of opening up my walk in garage door to watch it rain during the blowing hard wind and I heard my 16 ft garage door bow in and popped bolts out of place. Won't do that again. Just told the ball and chain he must've of did it when he opened the door to the kitchen from the garage. LOL If he knew I had opened the side door and bowed out the door he'd made me pay for repairs. Something to do with 'vacumn'.

Even creased couple of panels on the door. Next day called garage door men they came out put in new bolts and messed around. I made sure I was gone (LOL) they charged 86 and said something to him about not opening the kitchen or side door in the garage. Any way I won't be wanting to watch it rain during a violent wind any more. LOL

Thank God last night they gave up the ghost and quit the fireworks you can't shoot them off in the city so they all come out to the country suburbs and do it. I put in ear plugs and jacked up the commercial fan . Think it's the law they have to quit at midnight. Until next yr.

Thats remarkable that wind no worse than a thunderstorm would do that to your garage door. My side door out of the garage has a bar across it. I never use the door and now never have to worry about someone breaking in..... or popping bolts.

growing up in the upper midwest after an all day rain or storms towards the end of day just at sunset when the storm (s) would clear, it would cause such a weird glow. I always disliked seeing the end of rain or storm at the end of a day when I was growing up. I guess I couldn't play outside, i was stuck in the house, then just as it was time to come in for dinner, clouds would clear and this weird glow would show thru the breaking clouds.
